Kim Kardashian Slams Teen Mom Phenom

Kim Kardashian may be a Gleek -- but she's certainly no Teen Mom fan.
The reality star took to her blog on Wednesday to blast the MTV hit, which she thinks glamorizes teen pregnancy.
"I saw a story about a Memphis high school where 90 young female students were either pregnant or have given birth this year!" Kardashian, 30, wrote. "I just couldn’t believe this and I find it so sad and disturbing."
Her diatribe went on: "It seems that shows like Teen Mom are all of a sudden making teen pregnancy seem cool in the eyes of young girls...but girls, these are not people you should idolize!"

The Hollywood kid added that she could never become such a young mother herself.
"When I think back to when I was 16, there is no way I would even have considered having a baby. That thought wouldn’t even have entered my head," she wrote. "Having a baby so young shouldn’t be seen as the trendy thing to do."

"Girls," she pleaded, "please, think very carefully before you make these kinds of decisions. Talk to your family, friends, teachers, and most of all, be careful."

i wasnt 16 but i was young when i made the right decision, the decision to go through with bringing life to my son. with the right support system and the right people to surround myself by i am doing just fine, by the way these teen moms didnt influence my pregnacy either. sh** happens, irresponsibility hits the best of us, i mean look what happened to you. you are famous for what now? a homemade porn? should we just suggest that teens idolize you now for having sex for everyone in the world to see? you saying more teens idolize this show would be like saying you idolized some one who had done the same thing you had done to become idolized, in that case you would be considered a hypocrite and no better than those who are followers of fame. and what exactly are you saying? Talk to your family, friends, teachers, and most of all, be careful." what kind of desicions are you suggesting? abortion? not in my favor at all nor is it in the majority of the public eye. maybe you should think about what you say and what your decisions are on putting out unnecessary comments that none the less make you more famous, as if you need to be. youre a 30 something year old, maybe its not these teen moms that need growing up or better advise, you do kim kardashian, youre in no better of a position than the better of us to be throwing out your selfish acts and comments that mean absolutely nothing to the better of us all.

im a teen mom and trust me its not easy but i love my son to death and i would do anything for him kim is wrong the show does show how hard it is to raise a baby but i guess she doesnt understand that
Are you guys watching the show the point of it is to show how difficult it is for the teen moms not promoting being a teen mom.....at the end of each show they tell you to practice safe sex or dnt have it at all so kim take a hike and anybody else who think mtv is trying to make celebs. out of these girls and money because thats not the case stop over thinking the show...
I think the problem and the sole problem is that these teens are haveing SEX WAY TOO YOUNG!! They can't even be responceable for thier own life let alone someone elses life. The media brings all this on for the LOVE OF MONEY! So the teens watch this crap and think it all ok and the parents should take a bigger role in bringing up their childern. If you get pregnant is is YOUR FALT because YOU WANTED SEX. With SEX comes responceability and teens these days do not know what that is. And for the Guys, If you don't wanna pay child support then keep it in your pants

All i have 2 say is tht some of these girls didnt have a choice n tha matter. My sister was 14 when she got pregnant n was on birth control. She didnt choose 2 get pregnant at tht age it just happened. Now shes 18 n has 3 kids n is happy with her life shes doin a great job at being a mom at a young age. Sure she struggled like most young moms do but she wouldnt have it any other way. People need 2 get tha facts first before judging these young girls. I dont think its a horrible message beng sent out its just showing u how hard it is being a mom young when u dont choose it its not promoting teen pregnancy.
some of y'all are sounding pretty self righteous - guess that makes you feel better, I dunno.......but first off, Kim K is DEAD WRONG! Kids arent seeing pregnancy as "cool" as a majority. And if she bothered to take her head out of her 8ss and CHECK THE FACTS before sprouting off, she would know that teen pregnancy is in reality, is STILL at rates FAR LOWER than it was 30, 40, 50 years ago. Currently watching a young girl crying about the fact her child needs an MRI due to her legs not developing right and not being able to stand up - Wow, that's SO COOL, eh Kim? Kids cant wait for that, right?
But the point is that these girls shouldn't be having children when they're in highschool. It's ridiculous! There should be more things in life that they should be focusing on, and I think the way that you see all these "Teen Mom" mothers flaunted on the covers of magazines and on tv, it shows that if you get pregnant when you're little, then yeah, maybe you can become a celebrity too. It's a horrible message that MTV is sending out.
