Pregnancy looks good on her! Lil' Kim made a surprise announcement in NYC on Wednesday, Feb. 12 that she's expecting her first child. But before taking the stage at The Blonds Fashion Week after-party (with her baby bump!) the rapper revealed to Us Weekly what food she's been craving, and how her out-there fashion choices will need to take a backseat for the time being.
"I'm so excited, overjoyed! In heaven, waiting for my little sunshine," the 39-year-old entertainer told Us at the bash, hosted by MAC Cosmetics at Gilded Lily. The expectant mom-to-be looked stunning in a tight-fitted graphic dress that accentuated her growing belly.
"I can't wear corsets and all my favorite sexy clothes [anymore]," she said of how her style has changed since getting pregnant. "But it's a very beautiful thing and I'm so thrilled." She added that her go-to outfit is the same one every day. "Sweats, my comfy pajamas, but mainly my comfy loose fitting sweats, but you know they're cute."
Some of her clothes may have to collect dust in her closet for now, but being pregnant also has its perks! "Pizza! Everyday Pizza!" she said of her recent cravings. "A lot of vegetable pizza, because before I didn't eat vegetable pizza as much, but now I'm craving the vegetables."
Lil' Kim performed "Lighters Up" for the crowd Wednesday night, reassuring Us that she'll continue working even after her little bundle of joy arrives. "I'm still going to be hardcore. This baby has made me even more of a beast!"
"I think in another month or two I'll start trying to exercise," she said of prenatal workouts. "My doctor is helping me through everything with being healthy and I feel so good right now. I'm still going to work. I'm going to be a working mom! New music and all that."
