It can't be easy shopping for Mimi and Nick's little stars in the making.
But for the babies who will have everything, Mariah Carey's devoted fans– or "Lambs" as she calls them– surprised the mom-to-be with a priceless book of poems and letters they wrote for her unborn twins.
"The Always Be My Babies 'Lamb Book' is definitely my new prized possession and I can't thank the Lambs around the world enough for your letters and well wishes," she wrote on her blog following her surprisingly down-to-earth baby shower at a Beverly Hills eatery Sunday evening.
Carey, 41, and hubby Nick Cannon, 30, received extravagant stuffed giraffes, gorgeous baby blankets, luxe clothes and books for their twin boy and girl. But the superstar parents were most excited by the inexpensive yet touching tribute to their growing family.
"FYI- we so had a 'moment' in the middle of the shower when they presented the book to me and everyone thought it was the cutest, most thoughtful thing ever," the star gushed. "Clearly, only the Lambs would swing something like that home!!! It was the best moment of the night. I can't wait for the twins to read the messages and feel the love!"
