Mariah Carey's Husband: I Am Ready to Be a Dad

Though Mariah Carey has yet to confirm reports that she is pregnant, her husband Nick Cannon is continuing to answer questions about their plans for parenthood.

Asked if he and Carey, 41, have thought about how many kids they want, Cannon, 30, told UsMagazine.com Tuesday at the Running Russell Simmons party in NYC: "Not really. I mean, it's just whatever God blesses us with at that time. We'll be happy with whatever it is."

He doesn't care if they have a boy or girl. "We just want a healthy child," he said.

Even though he is young, he is ready to be a dad.

"My parents were actually kids when had me," he told Us. "My parents were still in high school and teenagers -- and we have a beautiful relationship. I'll probably be that same way."
