Michael’s mini-me! Michael Phelps has been enjoying retirement by spending lots of time with his adorable look-alike son, Boomer, who he shares with fiancée Nicole Johnson.
The 23-time Olympic gold medalist, 31, shared a selfie cuddling with the 5-month-old on Tuesday, September 13. “The little man and I don’t wanna get out of bed this morning!!” Phelps captioned the photo on Instagram.
The athlete has been relaxing with his family after adding six medals to his collection in Rio last month and attending a few post-Olympics red carpet events, including the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards.
Boomer is not just the star of his dad’s social media accounts, but also of his own Instagram. In another precious pic on Monday, the tot poses in an adorable crab hooded towel after his bath time. “I guess I was being crabby … not sure why else I would have this thing on!!! #bathtime,” the caption read.
It appears that Phelps is already training Boomer to be a swimmer too. Last week, Boomer’s account posted a video of the infant looking totally comfortable in the water as he lounged on a pool float. “Thanks @taylorchien for making me look so good in my play day at the pool,” Boomer wrote.
Last month, Johnson shared that Phelps is the one behind the little one’s social media accounts. “Michael runs it — he asked me if I wanted the password to post pictures and I told him no because I love watching him do it,” she told Cosmopolitan. “I send the pictures and Michael does the posting.”
