The first thing on Nicole Richie's plate after welcoming newborn son Sparrow?
"Next Stop: SUSHI" the mom, 27, posted on Twitter early Friday morning.
When pregnant women eat sushi, they ingest bacteria that could make them sick and even miscarriage.
Look back at Nicole Richie's pregnancy days
This isn't Richie's first Twitter post about Sparrow James Midnight Madden -- who weighed 7 lbs. 14 oz., and was born early Wednesday morning. (He joins older sister Harlow Winter Kate Madden, who was born in January 2008.)
See adorable photos of Harlow and other celeb babies
On Thursday, Richie posted: "What a great day to come back on. Thank you everyone for your well wishes. I love my family!!"
Added Madden, 30: "1st day of his life & my son is already a trending topic on twitter. That's right son, ur just like your old man."

Tell Us What You Think
20you guys that are arguing below are stupid... save your breath please
Who are you 7:04 to tell someone that they should be breastfeeding? Did you not get enough when you were a baby? You're crazy.
Sizzle.... you are so dam* funny. You sound like a dumba$$ to even waste time posting that. Why do you care what 13 year old girls do first of all and since it was me that wrote that post I was making a point about there not being a need to name your kids off the wall names. And all those "FUTURE KIDS" I named are real. 2 are mine from my first marriage, 3 are his from his first marriage and then 1 together(due next month). so i guess that goes to show how people are when they have no clue what they are talking about now doesnt it.
"Anonymous 10:48pm" (the person who named all her future babies' names)....You must be 13 years old or younger. Only young girls blather on & on about baby names in the comments section. Let me spell it out about random, annoying little girl posts of future baby names...we don't care! Keep it confined to your cafeteria table or scribbled on your 3-ring binder.
i agree with 7:29 PM.. she seems like a wonderful person and mother. she really turned around and good for her!
Interesting name but happy for them just the same. But I want to say that I am having a girl and naming her Lilyanna Aurora. I dont see why people have to go to that exterme with the names. My other kids names are Allison, Shyann, Nickolas, John and Ethan.Normal names.
I think Nicole has grown to be really responsible and a good mother. I'm sure she wouldn't do anything to harm her baby in anyway.
If she's breastfeeding, which I'm sure she is (at least she should be), the bacteria could still harm the baby through breastmilk.
She's NOT breastfeeding then. You CANNOT eat Sushi if you're breastfeeding for the same reasons you can't eat it when you're pregnant. RAW FISH BACTERIA. It's in the mom's breastmilk if she's eating sushi same as if she's pregnant, and the kid sucks it in from mom's milk. He can get very ill from this, surely she knows this and is not breastfeeding, if she has to have sushi.
some of you people are just plain stupid. Why do find it necessary to correct grammar? Who cares, as long as you understand what they are trying to say, just let it go. We all see the error. I guess it makes you feel superior to correct them. Nicole has turned her life around. You can stop with the stupid crack jokes. It's not funny.
What a stupid name. Do celebs think picking names outta their arce makes it cool, unique, anyone can do that. Poor kid
Congrats to you + Sissy & Baby!!!!
Yeah............... Proper use of the English language would be nice! September 11, 2009 - 1:28pm Anonymous Says us mag you need better editors. You'd "miscarry" not "miscarriage"
Anxious to see the little guy -- hope they sell to the highest bidder soon!
September 11, 2009 - 1:03pm Anonymous Says: I hope she has the all clear from her doctors and pediatricians Don't forget the therapists and psychiatrists
The first thing on Nicole Richie's plate after welcoming newborn son Sparrow? Crack...
I love that everyone wants to correct everyone. Just read it, get over it, and shut up. Do you really think that you're the only one that notices the mistakes and that you need to point them out to everyone?
us mag you need better editors. You'd "miscarry" not "miscarriage" My doc said this is a myth. Bacteria fromsushi can make anyone sick whether or not they're pregnant. Preggo women should limit their big fish intake because of mercury (tuna, shark)The bacteria you need to watch out for is listeria, it's in unpasturized cheeses, not sushi. Is Nicole going to Twitter about the first poop she takes after giving birth, or her hemorrhoids?
I hope she has the all clear from her doctors and pediatricians
