Everybody poops -- even Natalie Portman's dog.

On Tuesday, the pregnant star kept it real, tending to business as usual in NYC -- despite news of her Best Actress nomination for Black Swan.

Braving the arctic cold in a puffy coat and wool cap, Portman, 29, struggled to chat on her phone as she walked her adorable pooch. Named Whiz, Portman's beloved dog travels frequently with the star -- but in Tuesday's photo, Whiz had a stubborn moment, straining against his leash as Portman traversed the snow.

It's good Mommy practice for the actress, now in her second trimester with fiance Benjamin Millepied's baby.

"I am so honored and grateful to the Academy for this recognition," Portman told Us Tuesday after hearing her Oscar news. "Making Black Swan is already the most meaningful experience of my career."

Hopefully she'll put down the phone and pay more attention to the baby than she is the dog.

she needs to get a life a dog is not the same as a child. who cares a nanny is going to raise her kid anyway and she's never going to admit feeling guilty about that when the kid is grown. As for example Joanne Woodward did after her daughters were adults of course Nat is only an oscar nominee she isn't going to win like Woodward did before her first daughter was born
