Penelope Cruz is pregnant!
A rep for the Oscar-winning actress, 36, has confirmed to UsMagazine.com that she is four-and-a-half months pregnant.
Wearing a flowing top, Cruz sported a baby bump recently on the Puerto Rican set of her upcoming movie, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

In July, she wed Spanish actor Javier Bardem, 41, in a hush-hush wedding in the Bahamas. The two costarred in the Woody Allen comedy Vicky Cristina Barcelona, for which Cruz won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 2009.
Bardem's sister Monica recently said a baby will likely be on the way for the newlyweds.
"They have shown the world they are in love," she told Hola!, "and it would be only normal and natural to have children."

8she's 5'6" so it's gonna show later than it did on somebody like elizabeth taylor who was 5'2" and earlier than it would on somebody like Vanessa Redgrave who was 5' 10" both of whom were oscar winners either before Penelope was born or when she was a baby and between them have 11 oscar nominations 9 for best actress and 2 for best supporting actress between 1958-1993. both of those actresses have three natural children from two relationships/marriages granted Penn is older than both of them were when they had their youngest children. correct Liz was 25 years of age when her daughter Liza was born August 6th 1957 and Vanessa was 32 when her son Carlo was born September 16th 1969 though she did miscarry another son in the winter of 1971. good luck to the happy expectant parents

celebs don't get an actual private life like they used to back in the day. and it been confirmed by Penn & Javiar's representatives that she's 4 1/2 months along so she's due in late January early February.
If Penelope is pregnant or not - none of my business. But I have to take issue with what the sister said. They're in love, so it's only "normal and natural" that they'll have kids? Sorry, honey. It's the 21st century, not the 11th. I love my husband with all my heart (and I think he feels the same) but we don't want kids. Does that make us abnormal or unnatural? It's the same as the people who think you need to be married to have kids. News flash - the Dark Ages ended 800 years ago!!
Its none of anybodies business whether someone is pregnant or not. she is a good actress, the rest is private, and it is not an achievment to be pregnant, its just a natural state. People.get a life and stop taking so much interest in privacy. This is not why I buy movie tickets or watch shows...their children, their love life? Come on, thats pathetic.
Pennelope isn't pregnant she just ate a big lunch that's all. she's one of those stars that's too vain to have a child the old fashion way. so what just because she won an oscar doesn't mean she should choose not to have children.just cause you have children doesn't disqualify you from Oscar worthy parts Patricia Neal for instance won her oscar while she was pregnant with her 4th child aged 38 April 14th 1964. and was nominated for her second after surviving strokes while she was pregnant with her 4th daughter Lucy in 1965 for her work in the film adaptation of Frank D Gillroy's play The Subject Was Roses.
