Beyonce's long been known for her girl power anthems, but Jay-Z's pregnant wife feels more empowered than ever!
"It is the most powerful creation for you to be able to have a life growing inside of you," the 30-year-old told the Associated Press in an interview published Thursday. "There is no bigger gift, nothing more empowering."
So who is Beyonce looking to for guidance on how to raise her little one? "I have the best examples around me because my sister is the most incredible mother," she said. (Her singer-rapper sister Solange, 25, is the mom to a 6-year-old boy, Julez.) "My mother, I am so proud of her. I see her and I could cry every time I think about her because she is such an incredible woman, so I just pray that I have the same bond with my children, child."
But parenthood isn't the only thing Beyonce wants to master. In addition to launching her third fragrance Pulse, she hopes to find "balance" in her life and career. "I am starting my company, my label. I want to create a boy band," she said. "I want to continue to produce and do documentaries and music videos. I eventually want to start directing for other artists."
The first-time parent won't put her career on hold once her and Jay-Z's child is born. "I will probably [take the baby everywhere with me]. I am sure I will," she admitted. "I think that it shouldn't stop you. I think of course my life is going to change, and I definitely will make sacrifices, but you know, I think I will be able to bring hopefully my little rider with me."
