This Bachelorette is bumping on a boat! Bachelorette alum Emily Maynard, who's currently expecting a baby with her husband Tyler Johnson, shared a new bump photo on Wednesday, Mar. 18.
"Spring break on a boat," Maynard, 28, wrote, alongside a tropical pic including her daughter Ricki and her husband. The cute family snapshot features Maynard in a petal-pink maxi dress which cascades over her growing baby bump. Her husband, meanwhile, beams with one arm around his pregnant spouse and the other protecting his life vest-clad stepdaughter.
Us Weekly exclusively revealed the news this past January that Maynard was pregnant with her second child (and first with her husband). "We're super excited!” she told Us at the time. Hours after she told Us the news, Maynard debuted her baby bump on Instagram, joking that she had consumed “too much pizza."
The season 8 Bachelorette rose to fame after inspiring millions with her own personal story as a single mom, which was documented in depth on Brad Womack's season of The Bachelor in 2011, and her subsequent stint on The Bachelorette. Maynard raised her daughter on her own after the tragic plane crash death of her high school sweetheart Ricky Hendrick in 2004.
More than ten years after the tragedy, her current life has become significantly brighter — and sweeter. Several weeks ago, the reality TV star teased a photo of her gender reveal cake — without providing the answer.
"The cutest gender reveal cake I ever could've imagined," she gushed. "Thank you @thewowfactorcakes for making our announcement so special! I'll let you all know once I tell all our family first :) Any guesses?"
Prior to tying the knot to her current husband, Maynard was previously engaged to both Womack and her final suitor on The Bachelorette, Jef Holm. While things did not pan out as planned with either reality hunk, Maynard found true love in management consultant Johnson.
"He proposed to me at home and gave both Ricki and me rings," Maynard told Us at the time of Johnson's proposal. "It was so sweet." The couple tied the knot last June on his family's farm in South Carolina.
This past Valentine's Day, Maynard wrote a sweet note about Johnson, describing him as "the person who makes me laugh more than I ever have and puts up with me everyday!"
