Former Bachelor and Bachelorette star Jen Schefft and husband Joe Waterman should start painting their nursery pink!

It's going to be a girl for the first-time mom, Schefft tells UsMagazine.com exclusively.

The Chicago PR exec, 33, wed Waterman in May 2008; their daughter is due in November.

"We had to wait almost two hours for the ultrasound, since the technician was running late," Schefft tells Us of their big discovery.

"I was going crazy, because all I wanted to do was find out what we were having," she adds, noting that she "kept getting texts" from anxious friends and family.

After the technician arrived, another delay: "the baby wasn’t cooperating," Schefft explains.

"After what seemed like an eternity, the technician started laughing and pointed out the baby's cute little butt cheeks and said 'yep, it's definitely a girl!'"

"We were so thrilled," Schefft cooed. "It just makes it that much more real!"

Last month, when Schefft told Us about her pregnancy, she had a premonition: "I don't know why, but I feel like it's going to be a girl," she said. "I already have, like, 10 names, but I'm not telling!"

I'm with Laurie, Sally, get over yourself and stop being so judgemental! If someone wants to find out, that's they're thing, we don't ALL want to be like you, thank goodness! If we were we would all be judgemental, one sided freaks like you!

Okay, so Jenn hasn't been partying without panties, fallen over bombed out of her mind, or whatever. She wants to know what sex her baby is, just like millions of other people. Good for her, leave her alone, and don't be so judgemental--save it all for SBB (Stars Behaving Badly!)

Who in the heck cares about her!!...but anyway, she sounds IMMATURE and has a hyperactive personality...No wonder Andrew Firestone DUMPED her!!..I feel knowing the gender of an unborn baby should be, and (to me), is ONE of the great mysteries of life...That secret should be kept a surprise until birth...unless there are very unusual circumstances involved.

it's called being famous/infamous stars don't get a private life anymore like they used to and announcing the sex of achild is totally different than being chased by paparrazzi when your going on personal business after you've lost a loved one so get over it

Wow, Jen is having a baby. Wow, and she is having a girl. Wow.......like no one has done that before. People have kids every day and this is nothing special.

Jayradar-I find it hilarious that you are on this website that pretty much is all about intruding into celebrities private lives and yet you are so shocked that people would share the sex of their baby. Crawl back into your cave ya weirdo.

Jayradar - have you ever had children? Normally when you find out what you're having it's something you want to shout from the roof tops! You call them publicity seekers, yet it's the mags that are going to them to get information and/or finding it worthy enough to print... and here, you read it. So you must care a little, because when I see a headline I could care less about - I skip it!

Isn't anything "PERSONAL", PRIVATE anymore? It's none of our business, can't these pathetic publicity seekers keep anything to themselves? How horrible. YOUR personal lives and business does NOT need to be shared with the world on the internet; it makes me cringe. I read the article, feeling like I was intruding and felt ashamed and shocked that she can't keep her mouth shut and her life to herself. This should ONLY be information for the parents and family. No wonder I don't get on the internet very often.
