Expecting her second child with husband Curtis Conway, world champion athlete and Dancing with the Stars veteran Laila Ali shares the ups and downs of her pregnancy experience with UsMagazine.com.

Happy new year!

I have to say that the new year has gotten off to a pretty good start for me. Now that February is almost here, I guess I need to start working on Valentine's Day plans with my husband. Because we are both very hands on with our son, making time just for us is always a challenge. And having a second child isn't necessarily going to help our "alone time," so it looks like I have my work cut out for me in 2011!

Another personal challenge for me this year is to get rid of my sugar cravings. And since Valentine's Day is overflowing with sweet treats, I really will have to try to stay disciplined. But once the baby is born, I plan on going cold turkey for a while to kick the cravings. Then I will be in better control... I hope!

Because this pregnancy has caused all sorts of cravings (sugar, salt, you name it), my butt is bigger than it has ever been! Surprisingly, I haven't been very concerned about it. I guess that's because I know I will put in the work it takes to get back down to size after giving birth.

Well, that and because I have Spanx on hand whenever I need them. In fact, next month, my Spanx will be my BFF when I participate in The Heart Truth's annual fundraiser, Red Dress Fashion Show, in New York.

Otherwise, I am 30 weeks now and very excited about what's to come. Yesterday I had a 3D ultrasound and was able to see my daughter's face. Although my husband and I were trying to figure out who she will look like, it really doesn't matter. Like all parents, we just want our baby to be healthy and for the birth to go smoothly. So that is what we continue to hope and pray for!
