Prince George, 2, holds his 1-month-old sister, Princess Charlotte, in new family photos captured by their mother, Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton

Perfect for the royal mantel! Princess Charlotte has made her second appearance — this time, with her big brother, Prince George! Kensington Palace released new official photos of the adorable siblings on Saturday, June 6, which were captured by none other than their mum, Kate Middleton. This is the first time Kensington Palace has released such important photos on social media.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's 22-month-old son holds his sister tight in the precious up-close snapshots while sitting on a couch. In a variety of poses, he lovingly looks down at the couple's baby girl, kisses her forehead, and smiles big for the camera.

Duchess Kate took the photos at the family's Anmer Hall countryside home in mid-May. She used a Canon EOS 5D Mk II camera, which retailed at $2,499 when it first came out.

Prince William's look-alike son, much like during Princess Charlottes arrival last month, wore blue while bonding with the newborn. He donned a Rachel Riley white and blue button-down and dark shorts, Amaia Kids blue socks, and black shoes. He also had his beautiful blond hair swept to one side. (Look at those chubby cheeks!)

Her Royal Highness, Princess of Cambridge — the fourth in line for the British throne — wore a snug Irulea white sweater and matching pants and socks, which was part of her debut outfit gifted by nanny Maria Borrallo. With no bonnet this time, she showed off her dark locks and gorgeous eyes. In one tender moment, she appeared to grin as Prince George gave her a smooch.

Last month, Prince William gushed about his children at St. George's Park in Burton-on-Trent on May 20. "He said George is very lively, and Princess Charlotte has been keeping him up all night, giving him a few sleepless nights," an onlooker said. A source previously told Us Weekly that Prince William always wanted a girl.

Duchess Kate and her husband, both 32, welcomed their second child in the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London, on Saturday, May 2. The family of four then left Kensington Palace on May 6 for their Anmer Hall countryside estate.

Princess Charlotte has had a busy couple of weeks. After her big debut, she met Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles and his wife, Camila Parker Bowles, and the Middleton family. She also (finally!) met her fun redheaded uncle, Prince Harry, on May 22.

"Harry was counting down the days to meet Charlotte," a source previously told Us. " He was very excited. An extremely proud uncle."

Prince Harry, 30, added in a statement on May 3: "She is absolutely beautiful."

That she is!
