It's good to be (almost) king! Prince William and Kate Middleton's son Prince George isn't even 2 years old yet, but he's already lived a pretty fabulous life. Since his much-heralded birth on July 22, 2013, the beloved heir to the British throne has traveled the world (first class, of course), rubbed shoulders with endangered exotic animals, and been privy to exclusive meet-and-greets with high-level leaders and dignitaries.
The little prince will have to share the spotlight soon enough — the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge is due to give birth any day now! — but for the moment, at least, he's enjoying the perks of being the world's most famous toddler.
"Prince George is being born into the most incredible life," gushes biographer Katie Nicholl, author of Kate: The Future Queen. "I mean, his home is a palace, Kensington Palace. There is nothing this little boy will want for."
Indeed, as seen in the video above, George received a whopping 774 gifts last year, including countless teddy bears, a handmade rocking horse from President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle, and a bespoke tricycle from the Mayor of London.
"[He's] very spoiled. And rightly so!" Nicholl says of the well-dressed tot, recalling the piles and piles of presents George's admirers heaped on the royal family during their tour of New Zealand and Australia last year. "This is a future king, this is an heir."
That said, the Duke and Duchess are doing what they can to ensure that the future king doesn't get too big for his (designer) britches.
"Both William and Kate are very aware that their son is going to have a very privileged lifestyle. But I think they want him to have as grounded a childhood as possible."
