Although they were initially kept in the dark about her engagement and pregnancy, Bethenny Frankel's Real Housewives of New York City costars couldn't be happier about her big news.

"She'll be a good mom," Ramona Singer, 52, told Usmagazine.com at the Animal Fair magazine Halloween Pet Costume party in New York City Monday." I think it will teach her about being more giving, more loving, and about opening up her heart."

Singer says the mom-to-be, 38, and her fiance, Jason Hoppy, who works in real estate, will make great parents — and have a lasting marriage.

"[Bethenny and Jason] remind me a little bit of my husband, Mario, and I because I'm very independent, I speak my mind, I have my good sides and bad sides," Singer says. "My husband just loves me for me and gets amused by everything about me. I think the same thing [is true] with Jason and Bethenny. Jason's lovely."

Frankel recently announced that she was getting her own show on Bravo, but she will still star on the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of New York City. Earlier this month, Us reported that 45-year-old socialite Sonja Morgan would be joining the cast, though not to replace Frankel.

"It's nice to mix it up and add some newness," Singer tells Us of Morgan's casting. "Why not? It's always nice to freshen up the pot."
