Picture perfect family! Reese Witherspoon was photographed enjoying a weekend getaway with her family in the San Francisco Bay Area over the weekend. The 37-year-old actress and mom of three enjoyed some quality time with daughter Ava and youngest son Tennessee at Cavallo Point Lodge in Sausalito, Calif.
On Saturday, Nov. 9, Witherspoon had a picnic with her kids out on the resort’s lawn. Wearing a white Lanston T-shirt, jeans and sunglasses, Witherspoon sat in the grass and snapped photos of her adorable 13-month-old son Tennessee. The Mud actress was also joined by lookalike 14-year-old daughter Ava, who wore a blue and white flannel shirt, skinny jeans and her long blonde hair down in waves.
The mother-daughter duo were later seen posing for a photo together. An insider tells Us Weekly that Witherspoon also walked down by the the Golden Gate Bridge to take some family photos.
Witherspoon and her family traveled to Cavallo Point Lodge to attend a 40th birthday party Robert Downey Jr. was throwing for his wife, Susan Downey. Other A-listers in attendance for the family-friendly weekend bash included Jason Bateman, Justin Theroux, Maya Rudolph, Gwen Stefani and husband Gavin Rossdale, and Gwyneth Paltrow and her kids Apple and Moses.
According to an insider, the party was held Saturday night at the hotel’s ballroom and included dinner, dancing, games and a photo booth. Photos were also displayed featuring the birthday girl, as well as a big cake. A source tells Us that Witherspoon attended the party with her kids, as did Paltrow. At the end of the evening, fireworks were set off over the bay.
The following day, a food truck served brunch outside to guests. Host Downey Jr., 48, and his 21-month-old son Exton sat down to eat with Iron Man 3 costar Paltrow and her kids. Before brunch was over, a source tells Us that guests sang “Happy Birthday” to Susan and served her a cake made out of maple bacon, chocolate bacon, bacon bits, bacon jam and vanilla cake.
