On Monday, Ryan Phillippe was photographed in Los Angeles for the very first time with Alexis Knapp, his very pregnant ex-girlfriend. Phillippe and the model-actress, who dated on and off last year, were snapped picking up cold beverages at a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf before heading into an obstetrician's office. Phillippe, 36, then dropped off the first-time mom-to-be, 21, at her home.

Back in March, Us Weekly was first to break news that Knapp was expecting -- and had announced to pals that ex Phillippe (they split for good in September 2010) was the father.
The Lincoln Lawyer actor (dad to Ava, 11, and Deacon, 7, with ex-wife Reese Witherpsoon) has remained mum his ex's talked-about pregnancy. "He doesn't know if he's the father," one insider told Us, adding that he plans to take a paternity test. "If it's his, he'll take responsibility."

So Undercover star Knapp, meanwhile is "really excited to be a mom," another insider said.

She has similarly not spoken publicly about her baby-to-be, who is reportedly due soon. "Alexis has maintained her silence and will continue to do so," her rep told Us in March. "She continues to appreciate the love and support of her family and friends."

So many of these girls have dollar signs on the brain. To people who say she isn't after the money, how do you know she's not waiting so it will be a bigger payout. Think Brad & Angie how much money they got for theirs. I think she's known exactly what she's doing the whole time. What better way to make money if your not that great an actress? A woman has many more means of birth control, and also the over the counter morning after pill. So many get pregnant on purpose, to get the guy or his money. Maybe sex should start being taken more seriously, instead of being treated like a recreational sport.
The thing is, she is 21 years-old, Ryan doesn't even know if he is the dad, the gal probably has more than 1 man in her life, and nowadays, birth control methods are not rocket science, the woman is 21, how did she get pregnant? Didn't she know how to use a birth control method or did she get pregnant on purpose and if so why? Why did she choose him to be the dad? And nowadays gals are not that innocent anymore, they get involved with men knowing that they don't want to be married, are in just for temporary fun and to kill time, but they go on anyway (ex. Elisabetta Canalis, the Mel Gibson's ex-ho what's her name, Bar Rafaeli,this one in the post, and so on).
It's unbelievable how everyone is holding the the girlfriend responsible when Ryan is FIFTEEN years older than this girl, has been married and has two kids. He has the life experience and age to know better. She was probably around 18/19 when they met with stars in her eyes (he IS hot) and he is just another girl crazy pervert star who got outshined by his ex wife. Time and time again we see rich famous dudes fall into this trap b/c they don't want to wear a condom. Women (and men) who REALLY don't want to get preg, don't get preg. It's called using more than ONE form of birth control so if one fails, you have back up. I know that it take 2 to make a baby (in most of cases) but with all this modern fashion of nobody women trying to have some rich guy to father a child in order to have a lifetime meal ticket, I am more wishing for these guys to disappear from the map and let the feather head gals deal with single parenting. Some modern women are becoming the shame of this society. Go after some rich fella, have a baby and go to the news or write a book about that. Hope the men disappear from the map!!

Liz, we don't know when in Sept they broke up. Say the last time they had sex was September 20th. It's June 28th today. She would be due sometime between June 20th and July 1st. So she's about ready to pop REAL soon. Maybe even today. Maybe she's DUE today and that's why he was with her because he knew the official day and wanted to be around just in case she went into labor so they test could be done the minute the baby's out.
@Christine: if it makes you feel any better she will only be "set" until she's about 39...his financial obligations technically will expire then once the child reaches 18;). @Isabel: the "poor guy" should have known better and have used protection himself...it's not just the woman's responsibility (and I agree with Kiki: some women purposely will lie and say they are on the pill, etc, how is a man supposed to know the real truth in that regard?). I DO feel bad that there are women who will take advantage of well-to-do men like that, though, and if she tricked him on purpose then I feel bad for him, too.
Why does everyone assume that Ryan and Alexis are dumb? Maybe their relationship was going good and they just didn't care if she got pregnant. Same thing happened to me, except we stayed together. Maybe they never REALLY split either! Maybe they've been seeing each all along.
@Isabel- its not solely the responsibility of the woman to prevent pregnancy. There are condoms he could've worn or just not have slept with her.
