Baby ballerinas are all the rage!
Suri Cruise, 3, stepped out in New York City with her mom Katie Holmes on Thursday afternoon -- reportedly grabbing some French-inspired snacks at Le Pain Quotidien.

The always-fashionable celebrity tot looked ready to hit the dance studio, decked out in a pink tutu and ballet slippers. Indeed, Us Weekly has reported that the precocious little girl signed up for an L.A. ballet class normally reserved for 5-year-olds.

"How can you not love her?" dad Tom Cruise has said. "She's a joy." Adds a source of the trendsetting kid: "shoes are her passion." But Suri's not the first famous kid to tote ballet gear out and about: earlier this week, Isla Fisher (wife to Sacha Baron Cohen) took out our her daughter Olive, 2, in a tutu; Nicole Richie's daughter Harlow, 2, was also seen in L.A. rocking the dance-inspired trend.

Suri dresses very nice. Madonna dresses her daughter Mercy well, so does Larry Birkhead with his daughter Danilynne, and Gwyneth Paltrow's daughter Apple and so does Courtney Cox's daughter Coco.

Jeff...good point about Shirley Temple...she also became some sort of ambassador, if I remember. I think Suri will turn out fine...her parents obviously love her. I think that's great. This girl will be in the limelight based on her parents' fame, but whenever you see her, it seems as if Katie is with her...not a nanny. You have to respect Katie for that. I don't think they spoil the child. I think they just lavish attention on her because they love her...unlike certain mothers of multiples who just cannot possibly spend any quality time with the kids on an individual basis. I feel for those 8 kids...I think they are sorely neglected.

Suri Cruise is very lucky. Not because of all the money - she was already rich. Her parents love each other and adore her. The money is a bonus but she'd be rich without it.
I have to agree: If you have the money, why not spend it on the kid? Whether or not you agree with the Cruises, at least they are spending time with the kid. It is SO obvious she is a wanted child. Unlike KG: Her kids are watching her on TV. Oh, that is so shameful. KG decided to bring those 6 kids in the world (to add to the first 2) but spends NO time with them. Those kids are the ones to worry about, not Suri. Those 8 Gosselin kids are going to end up the train wrecks...KG is a hateful, shameful woman.

Shirley Temple was 3 years old, a professional dancer and making movie shorts. She turned out OK, became famous, made millions, and married a milliomaire. Suri Cruise loves fashion and dancing. She's the most popular 3 year old kid in the world. So come on Tom and Kate, what are you waiting for--get her some movie roles, if she wants. She'll turn out fine.
