Whoa, baby!
Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman kept a pretty big secret from reporters at Sunday's Golden Globe Awards: they're the proud parents of a new baby girl!

Born December 28 at Nashville's Centennial Women's Hospital, newborn Faith Margaret Kidman Urban joins the couple's 2-year-old biological daughter, Sunday Rose. Though she was born via surrogate, Faith Margaret is Urban and Kidman's biological daughter.

"Our family is truly blessed, and just so thankful, to have been given the gift of baby Faith Margaret," Kidman, 43, and Urban, also 43, tell UsMagazine.com in a statement.
"No words can adequately convey the incredible gratitude that we feel for everyone who was so supportive throughout this process, in particular our gestational carrier," the couple, who tied the knot in 2006, adds.

Kidman is also mother to daughter Bella, 18, and Connor, 15, from her previous marriage to Tom Cruise.

47It is a well known fact in the medical fraternity that Nicole is XY and had undecended testes removed as a child, (therefore no ovaries) She is outwardly female but is biologically male XY not XX as a woman would be. NONE of her girls are hers. She would not have been able to fall pregnant to Tom. Feminising Testicular Sydrome is the medical term. Google when her sister antonias last 2 children were born...... co-incidence I THINK NOT. My guess.. both Keiths daughters are biologically Antonias.

@Diana - EVERYONE is born without sin. Infants and children do not have the ability to sin. And who is to say what, exactly, is a sin unless you have spoken to God himself? I think it's fabulous when someone seeks what is right for themselves and not what others say is right for them. Choosing a path different than you would does not make Nicole any less a devout. Just smarter for being able to think for herself and her family.
Congrats to Nicole and Keith! Can't wait to see pictures.
Actually Gail, it's not impossible. Some of us have a hard time gaining pregnancy weight. I only gained 15 lbs with my first two, and only 20 with the last two. I was back in my size 6 a couple of days after my oldest son was born. If it weren't for my huge breastfeeding boobs, you would never know I'd been pregnant. Just because she's thin is no reason to ASSUME that she's "to posh to push". That's just ignorant.
She's too posh to push, not wanting to have her anorexic actress body changed. She faked pregnancy with Sunday Rose, as we OB nurses could tell when she never gained an ounce in photos and got caught photographed 2 days after the 'birth' in a crop top with an extremely flat abdomen that is impossible in 2 days. She is a fake, just like denying for years using Botox and now came clean last week.
Nicole's older 2 kids had to stay with tom per their procreation contract. They don't even call her 'mom'. Truly sad that she agreed to that.
She faked her pregnancy with Sunday Rose as proven by photos of her not gaining one ounce plus that famous photo of her 2 days after the 'birth' with a crop top and an absolutely flat unpregnant belly, and decided to come clean this time, like she came clean recently after denying Botox use for years. She's too post to push, period.
@Patricia George Pratt - las month I saw a note here on US saying Nicoles has said in an interview that she misses her kids with Tom (/momsbabies/news/nicole-kidman-misses-her-adopted-kids-with-tom-cruise-20102112) ans that they chose to live with him. Although you make a good point about the picture. i.e. we see Suri with Katie and Tom all the time!
when you wait or the time kinda flew by you and didn't have kids i think surrogacy is the safest way to have your own biological kids. Maybe Sunday Rose's was a difficult pregnancy and they didn't want to endanger Nicole's or the unborn baby's health. Let's face one thing, The Church is a man's representation of God. We can NOT know what God thinks of this matter, or what He thinks of science. All we really know is that God is Love, therefore if Nicole and Keith want to have another baby and give that baby a family and love her then, what's the problem? And here we are all fighting over this... where's the tolerance us Catholic are supposed to have to one another? love one another as i have loved you said Jesus. C'mon people! there are true grave sins out there. Just my humble opinion.
@ preacher Diane, What page in the bible does it say "grave sin" and that having a baby through a surrogate is a sin. Do me a favor and let God be the judge and not you or anyone else who walks around all holier than thou.
Well, Diane, I went and reviewed what was considered a "Deadly" or "Grave" sin and there is nothing that I could find that I could equate with surrogacy. It's not like they are aborting a life. I get that it's not "God's will" for us to try to conceive unless it happens naturally, but as far as boundaries I would be willing to cross (only speaking for me, mind you) then I think actually WANTING to bring a life into the world, that would be a sin I would be willing to face. Maybe the CC isn't for me anymore if someone's supposed to go to hell for wanting to have a child. Anyway, I'm going to jump off the Religion Train now. I am happy for Kidman/Urban. They seem to have a blessed family.
Diane: Shut up, and go preach some where else. On a lighter note: CONGRATS KEITH AND NICOLE (:
Congratulations to the happy couple! Surrogates are angels, helping make dreams come true. I have to wonder though....and this is not asked maliciously....I wonder who is raising Connor and Bella?? Very rarely do Tom or Nicole acknowledge them. Perhaps the kids wanted to grow up in private which of course, is great. (Guess they didn't want to end up like Gosselin children, i.e., forced into the spotlight). It's just that, when you see folks like Brad and Angelina, you tend to see all of their kids in pictures...don't see many of Bella & Connor.
good for them!!! the older you get the more dangerous for the mother so i'm glad!! Now Sunday Rose has a baby sister!!
@Merlin-Mary was chosen, because she was born without sin. The Son of God was without sin, and therefor could not be conceived through a person with sin. That would make no sense.
@Merlin-Surrogacy is "Playing God" and interfering with his will for a married couple, therefor making it a grave sin. These are NOT my words.
@Sarah-Why does it bother you that I check this page? It's a public forum. You asked me a question, and I gave you an answer, and now I'm replying to your post. I made a simple statement, because NK is a Catholic. And, I thought it was quite odd that she would go against her own beliefs. That's WHY I posted, not that I need to run it by you. Since you obviously aren't a Catholic, you have no clue what the church is or isn't again, so don't pretend that you do, because it's an insult to me. Yes, it's wrong to take the Lords name in vain, which you'll see, that I DIDN'T do! And, if you don't care, why did you ask? Hell is not a bad word! And, yes, I'm defending my faith, that's what I do. I defend my God against the people who don't believe in him or mock him. That's what I'm supposed to do.
I couldn't be any happier for them!
The Virgin Mary was technically a surrogate. She served as the vessel to bring Jesus, God's only be gotten son into this world. Lets have patience 4 those who don't have a relationship with Christ & pray for them, not condem them. For those of us who do have a personal rel. with the Lord, lets be more patient, forgiving & tolerant of others regardless if they're Catholic, Baptist, Presbyterian or Methodist. If ur a believer of Christ throw religion out the window, but be open to the love of God. Thanks.
