Kim Kardashian has made new enemies in Teen Mom stars Amber Portwood and Jenelle Evans.
Both MTV stars spoke up for themselves after Kardashian, 30, blogged a scathing critique of the Teen Mom franchise, complaining the reality show glamorized teen pregnancy.
Snipes Portwood to E! News: "There's actually a study that shows since the original 16 and Pregnant aired, the number of teen pregnancies have gone down."
Adds Portwood, mom to Leah, 2: "Last time I checked, Kim Kardashian had a sex tape floating around on the internet and I'm pretty sure she made a lot of money off of it. She made a sex tape when she was younger and she wants to bash the girls on Teen Mom?"

Plus, she argues, "If you read the articles about the show, they do nothing but talk about how the show reveals how hard it is for all of us. It doesn't glamorize anything! It shows the heartache we've all gone through. We may be 'celebrities' because because our face is out there, but it's only because we've done some bad things. That's not glamorous."

Teen Mom 2's Evans' critique was more succinct. She also told E!: "I want to say, s--t happens."

52Being a young mother is not the problem - it is being UNMARRIED that is the problem. People all over the world don't wait until they hit their mid twenties to have kids It works out fine if the couple gets married first because that means commitment from the pair PLUS from all the family members and society. Besides, its is ridiculous to expect people to wait too long to have children and especially to wait before sex. Everyone wants to have sex and will start doing so as soon as the opportunity presents itself. We need to encourage marriage, and stop trying to discourage sex and procreation. So far, that hasn't worked anyway. And it's not okay for some of these parents to tell their teen kids, go out and have sex, just be sure to stay "protected" That mindset is the problem, not the natural loving tendency.
Bashing Kim K isn't proper. Why does ppl want to stoop to others level? Kim is a very intelligent, rich, famous, business woman. Face it. We all have the right to our own opinoion. Kim can say what she thinks .
Maybe Kim hadn't viewed the show, and in that case didn't need to make a negative comment. I have also heard that some teenager who have watched the show wanted to have a baby to try to get on the show, and Maybe thats what Kim was talking about. I think the show does put the reality of what being a teen mom is all about. I hope teenage girls see the show for what it is, and make the right choice to have kids later in life when you are established and have a education, and a proper way to raise a child.
It takes a strong person to be able to raise children at any age, I am a single mother of twins and i wouldn't change a thing. Some people can handle it some can't. But I bet Kim couldnt do half as good as most moms out there. Not even just teen moms You have no right to say anything cause you havent been through thank god for your child

Wow, for real? Kim Kardashian dresses and acts like a total sl*t and she has the nerve to bash teen mothers for trying to own up to their actions and be good moms? If anything, the show helps show teenagers that being a teen mom is a lot of work and might help teens make better, more responsible decisions.
Most importantly these teen moms need to be good parents, they had kids at a young age so people are going to be on their backs for the 15 years. They've got to thicken their skins if they wanna be celebrities, if they don't want the attention get off the TV. I think MTV had the right idea at first in showing what teenage pregnancy can lead to. However just like ALL reality tv shows, people do things thinking they will be on the show too and become famous.

Wow, I used to be THE BIGGEST fan of Kim Kardashian! I've seen every episode of "keeping up with the kardashians" at least a hundred times!! But now she can kiss this fan goodbye!! How dare she speak of teen moms in this degrading way!! She has no idea how hard it is for young women like us and what we go through!! MTV doesnâ??t idolize anything except the struggles and heartbreak becoming a mom so early causes these young women!! It does show how hard being a teen mom is, BUT they are getting paid to do the show...how else does Amber buy a three bedroom house (when she and her ex don't have jobs to take care of their daughter)without the money that MTV pays them to be on the show. Real teen mothers don't get paid 5,000 to 10,000 to be on TV. Making these girls celebs is what is the problem...they should be "famous" for having a baby.

Well I was never a teen mom because I knew I wasn't ready. I am 22 and I am still not ready to be a mom and I do agree with Kim that this show glamorizes teen pregnancy. Who the bleep cares about these girls and these stupid kids? All I have to say is that my hard earned tax money is going to these irresponsible kids. When someone has sex not only are they opening up themselves to have stds but they are also opening themselves to have kids. No one asked you stupid teens to make a reality show about that.
