Exclusive: Teen Mom's Amber Welcomes Daughter, 2, Back Home
Teen Mom star Amber Portwood has been reunited at home with her little girl.
Indiana authorities returned Leah, 2, to Portwood, 20, on Monday, Nov. 29, a source tells UsMagazine.com exclusively.
"Leah is moving into Amber's new home, where Amber had her daughter’s bedroom all set up for her return," the source says of Portwood, who lives in Anderson, Indiana. "Amber is so excited to have Leah back!"

On Wednesday, Radaronline reported that Leah was temporarily made a ward of the state -- meaning that her guardianship would be determined by a judge and overseen by a government agency.
Portwood and ex-fiance Gary Shirley had earlier agreed that Leah was better off living with her father for the time being. "Child Protective Services agreed it was safer for her to stay at Gary's because of all the photographers outside my house," Portwood explained to Us Weekly in early November.

The MTV star had told Us that living without Leah was "the lowest of the low. Every night she's been saying, 'Where's Mommy?'"

On Nov. 18, Portwood was charged by Anderson police for attacking Shirley, 24, in front of Leah; she is faced with two felony counts and one misdemeanor count of domestic violence and battery.
The mother -- who is currently taking meds to cope with anxiety and depression -- told Us previously: "I'm trying to put the pieces back together...I have to get myself better so when I get my baby back, she sees her mom as happy as can be."

I agree with Megan..Amber needs to do much more that decorate a room..That is not what is necessary to care for a child. She need some Parenting Skills, anger manangement, then with supervision move out into a home for unwed mothers and utilize the skills she has been taught and then move out on her own. Amber is very lazy and unconcerned about responsibility on her part, but she feels like she is very aware of what everyone else is not doing. She is not ready to go back to trying to be a Mother all alone, she needs constant supervision first to make sure She is able to take care of her everyday needs as well as take care of her baby, not huddle up in the bed all day and yell out demands for someone else. I am glad that she has Domestic Charges , I couldn't figure out how this was continuing to go on before the eyes of millions on Television and nothing was being done to stop it..
im sorry but i dont even like the idea of them having shows like teen mom & 16 & pregnant...it just glorifies young girls going out & having sex && having babies...i was 19 when i got pregnant & 20 when i had my daughter...im not saying it was a mistake or i regret it im just saying i wish i ould have waite for the right guy not the 1st guy...my best friend had her oldest @ 16 & has had 2 more...but all @ a young age...i really think girls need to wait && they should wait...you can get birth control...hell i wouldnt want my daughter to be influenced by any of these shows....
okay first off this girl doesnt need her child back. If she cant control herself she dont need a child! She is a horrible mom. Second off just because AMBER cant take care of her child doesnt mean that every other teen mom should be put in the category as her. I am 19 and i have a child and i am doing a great job i must say providing for him. So the coment "children shouldnt have children" isnt the right thing to say in this situation. Im not trying to justify teen pregnancy, but there are teens out there that has had a child and take care of them just fine! I take better care of my child than some grown women do their own. So people need to choose their words carefully!
The state giving Leah back is such a mistake. Decorating a room for the child does not make you fit by any means. She prob enjoyed the decorating bc it meant she could do more shopping and spend more time having fun without her child by her side. No child should witness abuse, and this was not just a one time thing. Gary has growing up to do as well, but he has come a long way since season 1, and makes sure his daughter is always safe. I'll give him that. Having a medical diagnosis for these issues doesn't make it okay for somoene to keep their child. She should have to attend anger management, mental health, and parenting classes before being given the chance to take responsibility for such a precious life. If she can't take care of herself, how can she take care of Leah?!?!

Not saying hitting Gary is right but she did desperately ask for help on the reunion. instead of talking crap all the people around her with the power to do so should be helping her get some help. Gary is not so innocent verbal abuse is just as bad and he knows damn well that's what got her anxiety and anger going. instead he goes out and meets a chick on walmart and asks Amber for some time to think and chose which one he should choose....How easily they forget SMFH* Good luck Amber May God Bless you and your little one.

I've never seen this show, but from what I read, this girl really needs some anger management classes. This whole series needs to be taken off the air!

She decorated a room for Leah...that HARDLY proves she's a fit and stable person. Last week I gave Child Services all the credit in the world for getting Leah away from this psycho...now they turned around and handed her right back just because she decorated a room. Unreal. God bless Leah...I hope this poor kid isn't on the receiving end of one of Amber's many violent tantrums.

I dont really know the show never watched it or the whole situation but of course they have to say she is taking meds for Anxiety&Depression that does not make her a bad mom bc of that I dont know hwta else she has done but I know there r lots of moms out there that take medacine for Anxiety&Depression!

This is not entertainment. This is an unfortunate little girl who has been born into a horrible situation in which her mother is being rewarded for being irresponsible and an unfit mother. Disgusting.
Can we say delusional??? Really Amber? if CPS didn't want Leah around because of the cameras then how come Kate still has her 8??? and how bout Danielle Staub, Teresa Giudice, Jacqueline Laurita, Bethenny Frankel, Kandi, NeNe, and all the other Real Housewives? I have yet to see an episode of the Real Housewives where CPS knocks on those ladies' doors and takes their kids away....
