Exclusive: Teen Mom's Maci: My New Man Isn't "Scared" That I Have a Kid
Shortly after Maci Bookout ended her bitter relationship with Ryan Edwards, father to her son Bentley, 22 months, last December, the Teen Mom star had a sweet surprise: an unexpected new love with an old childhood pal, Kyle King.
Did Kyle blanche at the prospect of romancing a single, 19-year-old mom? Not at all, Bookout says in the new Us Weekly, out now. "He was very understanding of the whole situation," the Chattanooga, Tenn. native tells Us of her motherly duties. "Since he wasn't scared, he put me at ease."

What makes the 22 year-old Coca Cola merchandiser King so special: "He's responsible, fun, and incredibly caring, and he's just a lot more mature than most guys," Bookout gushes. (Bookout and her little boy even spent the summer in King's native Nashville to be close to him during her college break.)
Once Bookout (a journalism major) "made sure that [Kyle] was really serious about me," she made the proper introductions to little Bentley. After about a day, she says, "they became inseparable!"
Adds Teen Mom's executive producer Morgan J. Freeman: "She was terrified Bentley might not warm up to him, but he did. And now they're having a great time together!"
King admits to Us that surrogate fatherhood took some getting used to. "It was a learning process," he says. "I wasn't good with kids before, but I've learned a lot and now I like it!"

No they are still together they are not broken up. They broke up for a short period of time but they are together as of now. her formspring is not macidbookout its macideshane. Her ex ryan's is ryanrayedwards
I am a teen mom myself, so i can identify with the young moms on the show. I am always trying to do everything "by the book" so i'm not labeled as a bad mom. i think before anyone wants to judge these girls as good or bad moms, or judge their parenting decisions as good or bad, they need to walk in a young mothers shoes for awhile. its easy to sit and criticize the girls on tv from the comfort of your parents couch but try to imagine getting a job, payin for yourself and your baby, finding childcare, dealing with a dad that may or may not be in the childs life, and possibly the worst feeling of all and hardest to deal with is the faces of everyone staring at you everywhere you go. so i just think people should lay off the girls. Its harder than you think.

Maci is the smartest of the girls. Going to college, taking care of baby and working. Why is Catelyn doing nothing? She is clearly depressed! They get paid to do the show so she should buy herself a car, get a job and finish school. She's so young and has really let herself go. Her whole life is with her BF and that's not healthy for either of them! As for Amber...she's got to regulate on her BF. He tells her that he wants a wife who has it "together". She works, is trying to finish school and takes care of the baby. She works out and looks gorgeous! He doesn't even have a JOB and is overweight and lazy to boot! I couldn't believe he said that. Farrah is so defensive. She needs to let her parents back in. She's a good girl though and has a good head on her shoulders.
Maci is responsible, beautiful and smart. I'm glad she gave up trying with Ryan, he's immature and thoughtless. I love that she's in a relationship with Kyle, he's super sweet!!
I really like her. She is so smart, has charisma with a lovable personality. when I watch the show I'm like -why Ryan let her go???
