Tiffani Thiessen Hopes Baby Is "Not Too High Maintenance"

Tiffani Thiessen hopes her first baby with husband Brady Smith has model-good looks.

When asked by Pregnancy magazine about her hopes for her first child, she laughs and says, "long and lean.

"I dream about it because my husband is 6-foot-4," says the White Collar star, 36, who is due in May. "I also hope the baby has his artistic side. My husband's an artist and painter, and he is so talented. I hope that comes through in our child."

Thiessen, who rose to fame on Saved By the Bell, also hopes her baby has "my laid-back personality, because I think it will help us as parents if the child's not too high maintenance and just loves life."

She plans to "give a Girl Scout effort to hypnobirthing," which means she'll use self-hypnosis to stay calm while delivering.

"I'm really excited about it," she says. "That's my plan, but my husband and I are both very, very open to however the child is supposed to come out. Knock on wood it all goes well. I'm not one to judge any woman on how they choose to give birth. It's individual and I think everyone's different."

I really don't think babies are high maintenance. Yeah they need a lot of caring for & everything but that's babies! I have 2 kids & pregnant with the 3rd baby, I don't think it's that hard taking care of them & NO I don't have a nanny. But it all depends on your patience too, it's not always sleepless nights.

I do think she realizes there is a lot of work involved with a baby (unless she's completely stupid), she's just hoping not to have a colicky, fussy baby. I would hope the same thing

All babies are high maintenance to a certain degree, but plenty of them are really laid back. Why attack her for wishing for a baby that's not high maintenance? Wouldn't all women wish that? I sure do. But she'll be fine, if she's laid back, not much will phase her anyway. And just b/c you have a baby doesn't mean you're in for sleepless nights. Interrupted sleep due to a few feedings, yes, but you can train your baby to sleep at night so you can too. I know b/c I did it with both of mine, and I have a third on the way, and I'll try to do the same with this one!

Well, that is what babies are all about honey they are high maintenance and sleepless nights. Unless you have a nanny which I am sure you will have for yours!!!

I think it's awesome that she wants to do hypnobirthing! However, children have their own personalities and usually they're opposite of what we'd like them to be. I think shes in for a surprise.

How about Thiessen? I she high maintenance? I can't see why.

I don't think it's photoshopped at all. She looks healthy and happy. It's just that they applied waaaaaaaay to much makeup and it doesn't match her natural skin tone.

If Tiffany doesn't want her baby to be "high maintenance", perhaps she should re-consider her decision to have children. ALL BABIES ARE HIGH MAINTENANCE!! 24/7 for the rest of your lives!
