Miracle baby, meet your family!
In a new home video taken hours after she gave birth to her fourth child, Finn Davey, Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott‘s other children – Liam, Stella and Hattie (then 5 years, 4 years, and 12 months old, respectively) – enter her hospital room and say hello to their new baby brother.
Spelling’s pregnancy with Finn was a difficult one – and she opened up to Us Weekly about the many health scares and challenges that she endured carrying him.
“I just remember thinking, I can’t leave three children behind,” Spelling, 39, told Us of her life-risking pregnancy complications.
Fortunately for the tight-knit family, Finn was delivered safely in Los Angeles on August 30, 2012. “I always knew I wanted them to come to the hospital that night after Finn was born. I wanted them to be the first to meet the little man,” Spelling writes in a blog post.
The video clip captures Liam and Stella in the hospital with their dad, eagerly approaching their mom’s room.
“I want to look at her,” Stella says when McDermott tells her that mom Tori is feeling ill.
When they’re finally allowed in, a sleepy-but-joyful Tori announces the sex of the baby – and each of the kids are introduced to Finn for the first time. Baby Hattie is brought in to have a cuddle and a look at the newest addition to her family as well. Stella struggles with Finn’s name the first time she’s quizzed, but Liam learns it quickly — and they’re both happy to express their love for their new brother.
“I’m so glad you guys are all here,” Spelling says.
