This time, Santa Claus is going out of town! Fast and Furious franchise actor Tyrese Gibson revealed on Thursday, Dec. 3, that he bought his 8-year-old daughter, Shayla, her very own island for Christmas.
The R&B singer, 36, revealed the amazing gift after Entertainment Tonight asked him to share the "most lavish or over-the-top gift" he's ever received or gifted.
"Well, I just bought my daughter an island," the singer and model replied. "Can't say [where]. She knows all about it and the island is called Love Island. I'll be putting it up on my Facebook soon."
The dad of one shares little Shayla with his ex-wife, Norma Gibson (nee Mitchell), who he was married to from 2007 to 2009. The exes made headlines in February 2014 when Norma denied the star visitation with their little girl in an ugly turn of events.
"Norma Gibson, Tyrese's ex-wife, denied him a court custodial order with their daughter Shayla on Feb. 11, 2014," his rep told Us Weekly in a statement at the time. "Tyrese arrived to pick up Shayla and was denied access by her mother. Mr. Gibson called the police to the scene, and Mrs. Gibson called TMZ."
Most recently, the little girl made her red carpet debut at the 2015 American Music Awards.
