That's quite a shiner -- but Max Bratman isn't any worse for the wear!

Christina Aguilera's 3-year-old son with ex-husband Jordan Bratman was recently photographed sporting a black eye.

An insider close to the singer, 30, explains that little Max fell while chasing squirrels at the park.

"Any reports stating she isn't a good mom are incorrect," the source tells Us Weekly. "The reports are actually disgusting. Christina is an amazing mom. Max is a happy playful and active boy who has a loving and safe home."

After five years of marriage, the Grammy winner and Voice coach filed for divorce from Max's music producer dad Jordan, 32, in October. Their divorce was finalized in April.

my 20 month old is always running around and hurting him self. he once was playing peekaboo with the dog and got popped in the lip by his paw. left a nice fat lip. Kids will be kids.

Kids are going to get hurt and that is just all in being a kid. My niece gets cuts and scrapes all the time. I can't believe people are accusing her of hitting her son.

I wish that kid looked more like his momma than his ugly daddy. I hope he's cuter as an adult because as a kid, he's not. He's always been ugly. On the subject at hand, I'm sure it was an accident. Kids trip over their own feet and everything in their path all the time.

My 15 month old, walked into his room, tripped on the carpet and felt down like he has down a million times. Only this time with the plastic car in his hand hit him in the eye. Yup! Big nasty bruise! Both my husband and I in the room- and it still happened. Kids will be kids and boys will ESPECIALLY be boys! Leave her alone!

He is a boy, and they get hurt all the time. Trust me I have 2! My grandson is the same way. he barely learned to walk in July and he thinks he needs to run everywhere now. Boys are daredevils. Girls too!
