The royal family has welcomed a new member! Zara Phillips gave birth to her first child, a baby girl, on Friday, Jan. 17. The 32-year-old eldest granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II welcomed her daughter with husband Mike Tindall at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
"The baby's name will be confirmed in due course," Buckingham Palace announced in a statement. "The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Princess Royal, Captain Mark Phillips and Mike's parents are delighted with the news."
The baby, who is Queen Elizabeth II's fourth great grandchild and the 16th in line to the throne, weighed 7 pounds and 12 ounces at birth.
Phillips, an Olympic equestrian, is the daughter of Princess Royal Anne and first husband Captain Phillips. She is the cousin of Princes William and Harry.
Phillips and rugby player Tindall, 35, who wed in 2011, announced they were expecting their first child back in July.
