Well, that's one way to prevent a sunburn. Al Pacino redefined "suitable" beach wear on Thursday, April 25 — his 73rd birthday — when he hit up the Miami shore wearing a full black suit, complete with a blazer, slacks, and lace-up dress shoes.
Accompanied by his 40-years-younger girlfriend, Lucila Sola, the Godfather star looked a bit like a fish out of water as he trekked through the sand in his formal attire. Sola, 33, was fully clothed as well, but in a bohemian-chic black maxi skirt and a denim jacket.
The couple carried cups of coffee and a takeout container as they strolled along the beach together. At one point, they stopped to relax on a reclining lounge chair, with Sola cuddling up to her much-older beau and resting her head on his chest.
Later that night, Pacino — who has never married but has three children from previous relationships — wore a similar ensemble for his special One Night Only show at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Fla. The event included a Q&A with the Oscar winner, during which he told behind-the-scenes tales from the Godfather and Scarface sets.
The legendary actor met Argentinian actress Sola when he directed her in the 2011 film Wilde Salome. He previously romanced acting coach Jan Tarrant, with whom he shares daughter Julie Marie, and actress Beverly D'Angelo, with whom he has a twin son and daughter, Anton James and Olivia Rose. He also famously dated actresses Diane Keaton, Jill Clayburgh, and Kathleen Quinlan, among others.
