Ali Landry's father-in-law and brother-in-law had already been dead for several days before their bodies were found and identified by family members, authorities said in a statement.
Juan Manuel Gómez Fernández and Juan Manuel Gómez Monteverde, the dad and brother of Landry's film director husband, Alejandro Monteverde, were found dead on September 19. The bodies were discovered in Pueblo Viejo, a remote part of the Veracruz region.
According to the report from the state's attorney general, both father and son suffered brain trauma. The report also said they had been dead for several days.

Both were held hostage for 16 days after begin kidnapped out of their home on Sept. 4. In the meantime, a ransom was reportedly paid for the victims' release, but the kidnappers ultimately reneged on their word and murdered both father and son.
The attorney general's office also noted that a vehicle was allegedly used by the kidnappers. Forensic evidence is currently being aggregated in the ongoing investigation.
As previously confirmed by Us Weekly, former Miss USA Landry, 42, and her husband Monteverde, 38, scattered the ashes of their family members on Wednesday, off the coast of Tampico, Mexico. A stateside mass for the men will be held on Friday, at a church in L.A.
