They said ‘I do!’ Phillip Phillips married his longtime girlfriend, Hannah Blackwell, in Albany, Ga., on Saturday, Oct. 24, a rep confirmed to Us Weekly.
The American Idol Season 11 winner and Blackwell, both 25, tied the knot at the Resora Plantation, in front of 250 of their friends and family. The bride wore a gown by Hayley Paige, while the groom looked handsome in a Billy Reid tux.
The “Home” singer popped the question last Christmas and shared the exciting news on his Facebook and Twitter.
“My best Christmas surprise is happening,” the singer captioned the pic. “We’re engaged y’all! @HannahBlackwell.”
Blackwell also showed off her engagement ring at the time on Instagram, captioning the pic, “I’ve been dreaming of this for over 20 years. I’ve been dreaming of this guy for just that long. Overwhelmed with happiness. @phillphill.”
The Georgia natives originally met while volunteering together when they were 18. Shortly after Phillips won Idol, he opened up to Idol host Ryan Seacrest about Blackwell.
“She is really excited for me and she’s helped me out a lot through this,” Phillips revealed. “Love her, love her to death.”
