That ring! American Idol alum Pia Toscano is engaged to her boyfriend, Jimmy R.O. Smith, sources confirm to Us Weekly. According to an insider, the singer, 27, and the choreographer got engaged about two months ago.
“The #NewYear countdown with my future Mrs. SMITH. A toast to topping every year we've all ever lived. G.i.g — #ourlastnewyearcelebrationsingle #MrandMrsSMITH,” Smith captioned an Instagram photo of himself with his fiancée on January 1. In the photo, Toscano shows off her massive new bling.
On January 19, the dancer thanked Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas for helping celebrate their engagement. “THANK YOU #KOI #PlanetHollywood for hosting our engagement party. Ill kick off to a great residency — future #MrandMrsSmith @PiaToscano,” he wrote alongside an Instagram photo.
Smith, who has appeared in Burlesque and Dreamgirls, has worked with Jennifer Lopez for years and currently serves as a dancer for her Las Vegas residency, All I Have, at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Toscano, who was a front-runner on season 10 of American Idol before being shockingly eliminated in ninth place, is one of Lopez’s backup singers.
“I love having her,” Lopez previously told Billboard of Toscano, whom she met while a judge on Idol. “We have a great time on stage. I love her.”
