Angelina Jolie Says She's "Open" to Adopting Child in Haiti

Even CNN's hard-nosed global reporter Christiane Amanpour is curious about Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's family.
In an interview with Jolie while she was still in Haiti, Amanpour asked the star if she plans to adopt a child in Haiti.

"I'm always open to children around the world," Jolie replied. "We're that kind of family. Brad and I talk about that."

Not so fast, though: "But that's not what we're focusing on at this time, by any means," she continued. "We're not here for that. We're here to see how we can help protect the children in country and scale up the needs here."

Late Thursday, X17 photographers snapped Jolie's arrival back at LAX following her three-day trip to Haiti. She toured an SOS Villages camp for orphans, a Doctors Without Borders hospital near Port-au-Prince, a makeshift camp in the southern city of Jacmel and a Save the Children relief supply center. During her SOS Villages visit, Haitian kids were starstruck, yelling "Angie! Angie!"

I'm all for saving children and doing good for the world. But Angelina and Brad make me sick, I'm sorry to say. They already have 8 children. Money is not an issue. They travel, they work, they're in a career and life choice that will exploit and expose that, and they want to make another child go through that? They're not adopting children and bringing them into a stable and loving family home, they're collecting them. Jeez Louise, focus on the 8 young children you have before going out and playing hero.
i agree with seriously, she hardly spends time with her six kids for gods sake. but i hope she keeps adopting because many children out there need to be supported financially but as for emotionally, angie can't honestly call herself a good mom. thank god the kids have brad though
Jolie and Pitt should be charitable to they're own children by giving them a mother and father who marry each other ! It's shameful that she is a Goodwill Ambassador and yet she chooses to "Shack Up " with a man instead of marry him. Their children actually live in an unwed family situation. So sad . So selfish .

I dont get all the hate against her. This logic doesnt make sense: "you are a bad person ......because brad wasnt happy with jen! ". Angelina is a great humanitarian like my mom is (who has created several charities in her lifetime). My mom doesn't spend her inherited millions on fancy cars and furniture. She hops on a plane to south america or africa to check up on the the 2 schools she and my dad's company helped fund and build. We need more great humanitarians in the world. Angelina is a humanitarian in a different way. She likes to adopt struggling kids. With the risk of sounding like a chubby ghetto springer chick: YOU GO GIRL! I can remember reading dozens of threads where people were bashing her for adopting minority children. I can't shake the feeling thats part of why she still gets bashed. I dont think those feelings some people have magically went away.
She'll adopt another one when she needs the good publicity.

I am a canadian, i read the knews that Obama exempted canada from that rule. that means canada can export products to USA. 5-6 years ago, in canada, we had a real problem of SARS. After a control of that disease, we had big event of music concert for which 1000 of people gathered. even people from USA came here. famous singers performed in the show. what was the purpose. Canada, at that time, was in big problem with tourisum and the people from other countries felt canada is unsafe. canada wanted to change that image. these are some examples.
When jolie just "happens" to do ANYTHING, the media knows about it within the hour. You either pay taxes (when u make millions), or you donate to charity(for the write-off). Many celebrities and philanthropists donate their time, travel, and money without sacrificing the cause or exploiting them like Jolie does-every time. Old Angie needs to stay home, donate anonymously, and raise her 6 children to not become elitist, hypocritical sociopaths.
