Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's do-gooding continues.

During their recent trip to the Middle East - during which they met with refugees in Syria - the two also popped by the SOS Children's Village orphanage in Amman, Jordan, Oct. 1 to greet children after receiving an invitation from Her Majesty Queen Noor of Jordan.

"The SOS model of providing care for children without parental care is one of the best, as they are still in a family setting within their own country. We hope more people learn about their programs (sic) and give them support," said Jolie, 34, a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations' refugee agency, UNHCR.

Though it was Pitt's first time in Jordan, Jolie had previously been there in 2003.

The two have since returned to Los Angeles. Last week, Pitt took a meeting at his business office, and Jolie met with director Lasse Hallstrom.

An ugly disgusting homewrecker that uses charity to make people forget her evil deeds. The only one she's fooled is her spineless Armpitt.

Yeah, crs. We're the idiots. It's plain that their OWN kids are being ignored and left to the nannies (when they're not being trotted out for photo-ops). Logic? REALLY? Grow a brain. What have I done lately? I've been in the Congo with DWB. I work for my hometown charities through my Church. I might not have the money that Brad and Angie have, but I have enough. And I use it to do good. I'm not laying around eating bon bons. Quite frankly, I find it insulting that two people who are so obviously looking for a way to save face with the public are being placed "above" regular people who try and do good work every single day of their lives. Get over yourself, and over your worship of Brangelina. They do good, I don't deny it. But they aren't saints. Not by a LONG shot.

It's a publicity stunt to save failing relationship.

Oh nothing but nuts commenting on this one I see. I think I'll add some logic. First, to the person asking "where are their kids": Which parent do you know that is with their child 24/7? NONE. What is so wrong about leaving the kids for a few hours to visit an orphanage and lift those kids spirits? NOTHING. Get a life... To the idiot asking "why dont they ever do anything in the US?" Stop being so selfish, why does it matter where they promote adoption as long as they're doing it? And they do plenty in the US, they have their own project going helping to rebuild New Orleans. Get off their backs, if you had their money you'd probably be laying around eating bon bons, they're making a difference in the world daily. What have you done lately?

How about visiting some orphans in the good old USA? Plenty here that need adoption and good homes. These two don't live in America or American anyway.

  • October 21, 2009 - 10:07am simple truth

okay, so when do they take care of their own kids?

  • October 21, 2009 - 12:50am Anonymous

so, where are those six children? Again back to USA?

Am I the only one who finds it ironic that child-collecting, non-stop-traveling Jolie is advocating for housing orphans "within their own country"?

  • October 20, 2009 - 4:21pm Anonymous

Can it get any more hypocritical than this? She acknowledges that its best for kids to stay in families in their country get she adopted a nice collection of kids from all over the world. Probably because they go well with her outfit du jour. Why not donate money and help children that way? Ah but yes, that would be less visible.

Great, they better hide their kids before Angelina tries to adopt one of them!

  • October 20, 2009 - 1:38pm Anonymous

Hey Brad, why don't you tell these orphans how mean their God is and that he doesn't exist? You can do it over here, so do it over there.
