The 84th Annual Academy Awards, broadcast live on ABC from L.A. this Sunday, has a lot of history to live up to.

After all, Hollywood's biggest night gathers the hugest, most glamorous stars in the universe, with glitzy, weird and adorable moments broadcast worldwide.

In this video, Us Weekly's Movies Editor Bradley Jacobs and Movie Critic Mara Reinstein reminisce about just a few of those historic moments: Madonna and Michael Jackson's 1991 "date," Sandra Bullock's Blind Side 2010 victory (before the you-know-what hit the fan with husband Jesse James weeks later) and (awkward alert!) Jennifer Aniston's near run-in with ex Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in 2009.
