During a family trip down Venice’s Grand Canal in Italy Sunday, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and their six children brought along a surprising guest: Jolie's father, Jon Voight.

After a seven-year rift, Voight, 71, told UsMagazine.com last fall that he and his daughter, 34, had recently reconciled. (Jolie stopped speaking to Voight in 2001 after a teary Voight appeared on Access Hollywood and pleaded for her to seek help for her "serious mental problems.")

"We're in touch, but not regularly," Voight told Us. "We love each other and that's the most important thing."

Voight recently came to his daughter's defense, telling Us that split rumors involving Jolie and Pitt, 46, were "nonsense."

It's something that always comes to mind when I see her, so I decided to look up her birthday to see if she's a Gemini. Lo and behold! Her birthday is June 4. GEMINI to the core! (No offense to any Gemini here who may not have these traits to such a degree.) And just as a side note, people, I feel compelled to ask: why is everyone so MEAN and insulting to one another on internet sites? I really don't get it. Angelina is a HO-plain and simple. He dad, I'm sure, knew that she did indeed have "problems". Pitt looks like an old, miserable goat. TRUST ME: My girlfriend in NY has waited on Ho and Pitt several times and has said she is rude, unfriendly, and cold. Also, my other sources in NY have stated that Pitt is MISERABLE, made a huge mistake, got in way too deep and would give his left nut to be back with JEnnifer-who might I say is BEAUTIFUl, Classy, and doesn't have to go around announcing how much money she has given to others. I would guarantee Jennifer has given TONS more than that creepy human ho. ISH-she and Pitt deserve eachother.
This has been a long time coming for Angie and her Dad. It is really good to see them come back together. We don't live in the public eye so we shouldn't judge them, but I don't think at ALL that any of this would be for publicity...it doesn't make sense. She is trying to reconcile and would prob prefer not to have the public eye lurking at every corner.
