Bad news for Anthony Mackie. The Captain America: Civil War actor has been convicted of driving while impaired, New York Daily News reports.
Mackie, 36, was pulled over by police in NYC for having tinted windows back in November 2013. When authorities approached the vehicle, they reportedly saw that Mackie had bloodshot eyes. He also smelled of alcohol.
The Hurt Locker star was then handcuffed after he failed several sobriety tests. His license was also suspended when he declined to take a blood-alcohol test.
The NY Post reports that Mackie was ordered on Friday, Feb. 20, to complete a drunken driving program and pay fines.
"Thank you, your honor, for the opportunity. Thank you for listening to the case and coming up with a fair conclusion," he said in court. He added, without giving further detail: "I wish everyone else had done the same."
