As Us Weekly reported previously, a recent TVLine story suggested that Alicia and Kalinda (aka Margulies and Panjabi) were not even in the same room as they filmed their final tequila-shooting moments, due to a rift between the two actresses.

On-screen, at least, tension between the characters has been obvious for some time. Alicia and ace investigator Kalinda's relationship was never the same once Alicia found out her philandering politician husband (Chris Noth) had an affair with her former best buddy.

But rumors of a real-life rift between the actresses have also swirled recently, especially since the two didn't actually share a scene together for two full seasons.

Talking to Us at her San Andreas premiere in L.A. on Tuesday, May 26, Panjabi added serious fuel to the rumors, by stepping carefully around the question, and crucially, not denying that the grand reunion scene was filmed using body doubles.

"You know, I can't answer that," she replied, when Us asked whether the final scene was shot in person with Margulies. "It’s not fair for me to answer those decisions. As much as I want to. But those decisions are made by the producers. I'm not privy to those decisions. All I do know is I'm very grateful to the Kings for making the decision to cast me," she said.
