Ashley Tisdale Talks Fiance Christopher French: “It Doesn’t Get Any Better”

Ashley Tisdale talks about fiance Christopher French in her new On Air With Ryan Seacrest interview.

It's been a year of love and loss for Ashley Tisdale. In August 2013, the actress got engaged to her fiancé, Christopher French, after only eight months of dating; sadly, three months ago, her beloved grandfather away. But both of those experiences have inspired the former Disney star to record and release new music for the first time since 2009.

The former Hellcats star has just released the single "You're Always Here" on iTunes.

"I was inspired to kind of just start writing to help me heal," Tisdale, 28, said of her grandfather's passing in an interview with On Air With Ryan Seacrest, explaining that she collaborated with her husband-to-be on the song. "Chris sat down and produced, and we wrote this song together."

Her fiancé's involvement in the production process was yet another reason why Tisdale thinks he's "the One."

"I've obviously been in long relationships in the past," she continued. "But I think because of knowing what I wanted, I wouldn't have gone into a relationship if it wasn't what I wanted. I think from the moment that him and I met, I just knew it. I was like, 'Ok this is the guy,' and he knew the same thing. It doesn't get any better. I just can't explain it."

Tisdale, who recently made an appearance on the CBS sitcom The Crazy Ones, went public with her relationship in December 2012, and the musician and producer popped the question in August 2013 on the 103rd floor of the Empire State Building.

"It's all natural between us," Tisdale said. "With other relationships you're just kind of trying too much to make it work."

Tisdale was previously connected to High School Musical dancer Jared Murillo in 2006 and director Scott Speer from 2009 to 2011.
