In an Extra TV interview airing Thursday, Bachelor star Jake Pavelka speaks wistfully of the departed Ali Fedotowsky... while dancing with one of Tiger Woods' most famous mistresses.

As reported Wednesday, former NYC club hostess Rachel Uchitel -- the first woman to be linked to Woods in November 2009 -- landed a paying gig as a correspondent on Extra.
For one of her first appearances on the syndicated entertainment show, she goes salsa dancing with Pavelka.

One of Uchitel's questions for the man of the hour: "When Ali went home, was she going to be one of the girls you kept?"

"Yes," Pavelka replied. "Ali was going to get a rose that night."
On the Feb. 8 episode, Fedotowsky, a 25 year-old advertising accounts manager, abruptly left the show, explaining that her employer threatened to fire her if she remained on the reality competition. On the show, Pavelka said he was "heartbroken" to see her leave.

Fans were instantaneously devastated about Ali's decision. "If you can, you need to return," one fan pleaded. "It has always been you from the first date, yes, from [the] first date. You and Jake have always looked natural together; the others all look contrived...."

51Re: Ali's employer threatening her with the loss of her job if she stayed with the show: They obviously consented to giving her time off when she was accepted for the show in the first place. Now that she made it this far I'm wondering why they would issue a threat. Is this the kind of insensitive company that you want to work for? Ali say's that she LOVES her job but will she still feel that way coming back to it under these circumstances? Isn't loyalty a two way street? And what about the positive image this would create for her employer if he/she didn't pull the plug OR the negative publicity it would no doubt bring for this decision. As a business owner I completely understand the impact and inconvenience of this situation on the day to day operations of a company but I can't imagine that I would threaten an employee who was "this close" to finding love. Instead,I would take an ad in the local newspaper in support of her courageous journey. Wouldn't THAT be great publicity for my company? I find it very difficult to understand or believe this threat. Are there any other perspectives on this part of the story out there ?

The whole thing with Ali is a publicity set-up. How did the camera's know ahead of time that she was going to pull this stunt? They were everywhere. I agree with the people who don't believe that "mistresses" break up happy marriages. Having been cheated on in my first marriage, I've always maintained that a mistress's stance is based on what the husband tells her! If it's a strong, happy and loving marriage, one will NOT be cheating in the first place. Secondly, in my opinion, if your spouse cheats on you, they are telling you that they want you no more. It's then time to move on! Let's grow up and see marriage and irresponsible adults for what they are!
