Bella’s blushing! Bella Hadid opened up about her boyfriend, The Weeknd, in Elle’s upcoming June issue.
“I love seeing him happy and passionate about his art,” the model, 19, told the mag. “Being able to see how he works, and put both of our workplaces together, turned out to be really beautiful.” (Bella starred in his 2015 “In the Night” music video.)
Us Weekly broke the news in May 2015 that Hadid and The Weeknd (real name: Abel Tesfaye) were dating. They first met when the “Can’t Feel My Face” singer wanted Hadid to be a part of the artwork for his second studio album, Beauty Behind the Madness.
“I was like, ‘All right, cool — we can meet up face-to-face,'” The Weeknd recalled of their first conversation during an interview with Rolling Stone in October 2015. “If I’d met someone two years ago, I probably would’ve f–ked it up. But I’m more — how do I say it? — clear-thinking now.”
The lovebirds have been going strong since their romance began. Last week, they coordinated in black while attending the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala in NYC on May 2. Yolanda Foster’s other daughter, 21-year-old model Gigi Hadid, walked the red carpet with her beau, Zayn Malik. (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is also mom to son Anwar Hadid, 16.)
“I am definitely the typical middle child,” Bella told Elle. “I love making sure everybody around me is happy, peaceful and satisfied.”
