How does Bella Hadid really feel about being compared to her older supermodel sis, Gigi Hadid? Over it!
“I just have to remind myself that she’s been doing this forever,” apple-cheeked Bella, 19, tells Seventeen in the mag’s November 2015 issue. “I can’t keep comparing myself to her because we’re so different. But people still love to compare and contrast us — what’s better about her or what’s not that good about me — and it’s hard because people are really mean.”
The brunette beauty, who had a breakout season at New York Fashion Week last month, said that the comparisons are even more frustrating because IRL, the girls are all about love. “I’m her biggest supporter, and she’s my biggest supporter,” says Bella, who appeared alongside Gigi, 20, in Balmain’s most recent campaign. “We’re not competitive at all.”
But the comments don’t stop there! There’s one more person Bella always gets told she’s a ringer for: Jennifer Lawrence. “I never saw it,” the budding model admits. “But there are some photos that it’s really weird and we look very similar. People say it all the time. I’ll walk onto set and five people will say, ‘You know who you look like?’ and I’m like, ‘Jennifer Lawrence?’ then they’ll say, ‘How’d you know I was going to say that?’ and I’ll go, ‘Because I hear it five times a day.'”
