Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner spent the day together in Atlanta, Ga. on Saturday, Aug. 8, putting on brave faces — and their wedding bands — for a family outing with their kids.
The estranged couple, who jointly announced their decision to file for divorce in late June, went to the movies to see Inside Out with Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3, before doing a little bit of shoe shopping as a family.
In photos snapped of the pair, both Affleck, 42, and Garner 43, are wearing their wedding bands.
“They feel like they have to be mature adults for their children’s sake and that they will figure out the healthiest way to co-parent,” an insider previously told Us Weekly of the pair’s parenting policy. “They want the kids’ lives to stay the same and to not have to change just because they aren’t going to be married anymore.”
One day earlier, on Friday, Aug. 7, Affleck was snapped driving his Dodge to a private airport in Los Angeles en route to join his family in Atlanta (Garner is currently residing there with the kids as she films Miracles From Heaven).
It was the first time the Oscar winner was spotted since news broke of his romance with nanny Christine Ouzounian last month, a scandal that deeply affected Garner, sources tell Us.
“She will facilitate him seeing the kids, but other than that, she is finished,” a source close to Garner told Us. “What happened with Christine is the ultimate betrayal.”
