A family affair! Beyonce and Jay Z wowed fans at the opening night of their On The Run tour in Miami on Wednesday, June 25, showing private home videos of their top-secret wedding and their daughter Blue Ivy during a mash-up performance of “Forever Young” and “Halo.”
The husband-and-wife team launched their 16-city tour on the stage at Miami, Florida’s Sun Life Stadium with a sexy rendition of “Bonnie and Clyde,” bursting onto stage through a cloud of smoke with Beyonce wearing a stunning fishnet jupmpsuit and matching balaclava.
Showcasing an array of uber-sexy figure-hugging outfits, mom-of-one Beyonce wowed a crowd which included her pregnant former bandmate Kelly Rowland and husband, Tim Weatherspoon, who danced their way through the set on the D’USSE VIP riser.
But it was the pair’s home videos that really made the crowd go wild. As the show drew to a close the couple displayed footage from their sercret wedding in 2008, displaying for the first time Beyonce’s traditional white gown and veil, and Jay Z’s dapper tuxedo.
The couple were seen getting their “IV” tattoos on their wedding ring fingers before the ceremony (the number four represents the couple’s birthdays, Beyonce’s on September 4, Jay Z’s on December 4, and their wedding date, April 4). They also shared footage of the moment Jay Z put the wedding ring on his wife’s finger.
The high profile couple also showed images of daughter Blue Ivy, 2.
“There were videos of Blue in the pool with her mom, walking holding hands with her parents, Jay Z kissing Blue,” an audience member tells Us Weekly. “It was a sweet moment—Jay Z and Beyoncé were both facing the screen watching the Blue videos while they sang ‘Halo.’ It was like they were singing the song to their baby girl. The two of them were beaming, smiling watching their little girl on the screen.”
“It was incredible,” the audience member continued. “Jay Z said [we’re] ‘celebrating love tonight’ and you could definitely see the love between him and Beyonce on stage. Their chemistry is amazing.”
