Straight from the fiancée’s mouth! Blac Chyna took to Instagram on Tuesday, April 4, to confirm the news of her engagement to boyfriend Rob Kardashian.
“I’m so blessed and honored to have good man in my life,” the makeup artist, 27, wrote on Instagram. “I love you @robkardashian ! #7carats #VVS @benballer.”
Accompanying Chyna’s confirmation was an up-close shot of her new rock: a megawatt sparkler set in a band comprised of diamonds. Ben Baller, the jeweler who helped Kardashian, 29, design the item, also shared a video of the rock on Tuesday, congratulating the couple.
“Rob, I have never seen you this happy before and I’ve known you since you were a teenager,” Baller wrote. “I’m glad you came to your day 1 homie to get this massive💍 for your lady. You know I don’t play when it comes to diamonds. God bless.”
The engagement speculation started in the early hours of Tuesday morning when Rob’s future wife (real name: Angela White) teased the news on Instagram with a snap of herself in the car with Kardashian, ring positioned prominently for the camera, and captioned it: “YES !…!…!” The couple reportedly hit up the Ace of Diamonds strip club in L.A. with Chyna’s mom to celebrate their monumental life moment.
Hours later, Chyna’s best friend, Amber Rose, confirmed on social media that they were engaged. “Congratulations to my Family @blacchyna and @robkardashian!!!” Rose, 32, captioned a snap of the couple on Tuesday. “Please don’t let nothing or no one tear u guys apart! I never seen my sis so happy and I couldn’t be more happy for her! Sometimes we find love in the strangest places 😉 Lol God Bless you 2! Noticeably silent on social media was Kardashian’s mom, Kris Jenner, who is currently in Vail, Colorado, with her daughters, Kim, Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian, and Kylie and Kendall Jenner.
Rob and Chyna — the ex of Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend Tyga — first started dating in January 2016. At the time, insiders told Us Weekly that Rob’s romance caused a firestorm inside the Kardashian family household, but Rob wasn’t deterred. The Arthur George sock designer, who was struggling with depression, diabetes and self-confidence issues, broke out of his shell with his new girlfriend.
“Chyna makes him feel secure. His spirits have been lifted,” one insider previously told Us, while another source added: “His confidence was shattered for so long, so to have this banging girl all over him has given him a new lease on life.”
