It’s been a “crazy year” for Blake Shelton. The country crooner addressed his roller coaster ride over the past 12 months during his 2015 CMT Artist of the Year Award speech on Wednesday, Dec. 2.

After being introduced by Trace Adkins, who joked that Shelton can do it all “other than keep his love life private,” the Voice coach, 39, hinted at his divorce earlier this year from ex-wife Miranda Lambert.

“Let me just say that I want to thank my label and thank my entire team,” Shelton started out. “There's too many people to stand up here and name, but more importantly, I want to say that this has been a crazy year, from the way it started to how it's ending is so awesome for me. So thank you all. This is a great way to end it for me. Thank you so much."

Shelton and Lambert, 32, shocked fans when they announced their divorce after four years of marriage this past July. Since splitting from Lambert, Shelton has rebounded with his fellow Voice coach Gwen Stefani, who split from Gavin Rossdale in August.
