Mixing business with pleasure! Blake Shelton’s flirty ways have only skyrocketed since divorcing Miranda Lambert back in July. The country hunk joked that he will most likely find love again with…Rihanna.
Striking up a romance with the “FourFiveSeconds” singer will be convenient for Shelton. After all, Rihanna is advising Shelton and the other Voice coaches — Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani, and Pharrell Williams — in the upcoming 9th season.
“I was amazed by Rihanna. She is so funny and she’s crazy about me,” Shelton told Access Hollywood on Tuesday, Sept. 8. “We’ll probably end up hooking up at some point. I’m just saying.”
He mused: “I see a collaboration — maybe not musically. You know what I’m saying?”
As previously reported, Shelton got back to work sans his wedding ring just weeks after he and Lambert, 31, finalized their divorce. (Stefani, 45, did the same after splitting from Gavin Rossdale after 13 years of marriage last month.) Over the years, his NBC coworkers have become something like a second family that he can lean on for support.
“I think the coaches spend more time with each other than we do our kids sometimes. Because we do so much stuff like this. Everyday there’s something. I mean, we’ve become family,” Shelton explained, as he lovingly called Williams, 42, his “boo.”
“I haven’t met one coach that’s been on this show that I wouldn’t consider at this point a really good friend,” he added to Entertainment Tonight. “Any of the coaches that I’ve worked with on this show I can call at any moment and talk to.”
Season 9 of The Voice premieres on Monday, Sept 21, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
