Someone needs to catch up on his Chanel No. 5 commercials! It turns out not everyone knows who Brad Pitt is. During a recent consultation with the Hollywood A-lister, British war veteran Peter Comfort admitted to Pitt that he had to look him up before their meeting, according to British newspaper The Telegraph.
Comfort, 90, told the 49-year-old actor that he "didn't have a clue who you were"; following his research, though, Comfort realized Pitt had appeared in "quite a lot of films," he recalled to The Telegraph. The two men came together so that Comfort could consult the star on the British set of his new World War II film, Fury. The Telegraph reports that Pitt and his colleagues were "rolling around laughing" about Comfort's candid moment.
It turns out that Pitt is having all sorts of unexpected experiences during his Fury shoot. The 12 Years a Slave star and his Fury costar Shia LaBeouf actually went on a four-day camping trip together! The actors — and three other cast members Logan Lerman, Jon Bernthal and Kevin Vance — were "ordered to go camping together" to prepare for their roles in the war film from Sept. 16 to Sept. 19.
"They play soldiers in the same World War II troop, and the director [David Ayer] wanted to make sure they bonded. So he dropped them in the wilderness — without their cellphones!" an insider exclusively revealed to Us Weekly. "They must have gotten pretty cozy in the tents they were sharing," the source joked.
