Breaking Bad Star Aaron Paul Doesn’t Want to Win at the 2013 Emmys, Wants Costar Jonathan Banks to Snag it

Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul isn't hoping to win for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series at the 2013 Emmys

Aaron Paul is nominated for an Emmy at the 2013 Emmy Awards on Sunday, Sept. 22, but unlike so many other A-listers, he's hoping he doesn't win it! A source reveals to Us Weekly that the 34-year-old actor would rather his Breaking Bad costar receive all the glory at the star-studded event.

"Aaron isn't hoping he wins an Emmy. He really wants Jonathan Banks, who plays Mike Ehrmantraut, to win. Aaron is genuinely rooting for him," a source tells Us.

The two actors are up for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for their roles on the AMC smash hit. Paul plays Jesse Pinkman on the critically acclaimed series, while Banks plays Mike Ehrmantraut. The show is currently in its fifth and final season, with the final two episodes airing Sept. 22 and Sept. 29. Paul has previously won twice in the category in 2010 and 2012.

Either way, Paul and Banks, 66, have some stiff competition. The actors are up against Boardwalk Empire's Bobby Cannavale, Downton Abbey's Jim Carter, Homeland's Mandy Patinkin and Peter Dinklage from Game of Thrones.

Win or lose, at least the young actor will be accompanied by a stunning guest — his wife! Married since May, the giving actor will be hitting the red carpet with his wife Lauren Parsekian. "Aaron and Lauren are really such a good, sweet, happy couple," the insider added. "They are both going to look amazing tonight."

The 65th Emmy Awards airs tonight at 8 p.m. on CBS.
