Bristol Palin is demanding $1,750 a month in child support from Levi Johnston, retroactive to the birth of son Tripp on Dec. 27, 2008, according to court documents filed Thursday in Alaska.
TMZ.com reports that Bristol, 19, believes Levi, also 19, has pulled in "in excess of $105,000 in 2009 through various media interviews and modeling related activities."

In a sworn statement, she said: "I have received limited and sporadic financial assistance from Levi."

She states that he has only given her $4,400 over the 13 months of Tripp's life: $3,000 on Sept. 9, 2009, and $1,400 on Dec. 19.

Last November, Bristol filed for full legal and physical custody of Tripp.
Around the same time, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Plain told Oprah Winfrey that Levi still "is a part of the family ... I think he needs to know that he is loved and he has the most beautiful child and this can all work out for good."

142That little money grabbing Bimbo. The man is not allowed to see his child yet you and you mom wants money from him. You and sara should be ashamed of yourselves....like vultures after carrion you go after Levi's alleged money.
HA HA HA!!! I love pissing off the dumb conservatives/Palin groupies. The even funnier part... they actually think Sarah The Bimbette has a shot in hell at being president LOL LOL LOL!!! Oh man!
Sad that all of this drama could have been avoided with something called 'birth control'. PLEASE kids enjoy your teenage years, so much fun & experiences to be had. Plenty of time, plenty, for kids later when your ready.
It's 17% of his income regardless of what it is. So great, he makes 6 figures one year and only $30K the next, well pay up your dues. My children have a good life and that adds up. So you're saying Tiger Woods should only be paying..... what? I mean, you don't NEED that much to actually raise a child, so $250 a week sound about right? With my kids in private school, traveling sports (hockey alone is $15K a year) NOT including their other sports, music lessons, trips, money into their college fund, etc. We go through more than $2K a month for our kids.
Levi-only a loser doesn't pay child support on a regular basis. It's time to pay up LOSER!
Kristina, 1750 is not completely reasonable. Child support is to go to the support of the child, ONLY the child. Responsibility doesn't fall solely on the parent paying support, the other parent, the custodial parent, is supposed to chip in as well. He's not supposed to be providing her with an 'annual income' and honestly, in my opinion, your an idiot for even suggesting that. Of course that's not even remotely taking into consideration the fact that he's a 19-year old with no stable income. They don't even ask for $1750 in support from older men, with stable jobs, for multiple children. My mom didn't even get awarded a fraction of that for 3 kids. And Lisa, he's not bringing in 6 figures. He got a one-time windfall and it's pretty idiotic to call that an income. He should pay child support, but not to such an extreme excess. And says who? Any person with sense. Unless a parent is spending in excess, you don't need anywhere near $2000 to support a child and it's not about living paycheck to paycheck. My mom made less than that and support me and my brothers (4 of us) and herself. And we had things. We've traveled, regularly got new clothes, had medical care, each of us had our own computers. You just need to know how to spend with sense. And yes, if they were still together the money would go to him, but they're not. Those are the facts, they're not.
Some of these posts are crackin me up! Because you don't like the grandmother, you're wanting to let the parent off the hook? Forget about the nasty, snide comments about either parent, grandparent or political affiliations, try and remember the CHILD's rights! The mother or her laywer didn't just pull a figure out of thin air and aren't 'demanding' anything. Alaska's CSSD has guidelines to figure the amount of child support which is based on the adjusted annual income and Alaska’s child support statutes. This child has a right to support of the parent(s). So what if the grandparents are rich, or poor or he's living with them or in an apartment somewhere else with his mother?? What on earth does that have to do with the fathers obligation and responsibility?
If Levi is bringing in 6 figures, then he needs to pay the 17% of HIS income. Doesn't matter if YOU don't "NEED" $2K a month to raise a child. Says who? You people living paycheck to paycheck. IF they were still together, that child would benefit from his dad making that amount of money. Let's face it, the only reason he made that type of cash was because of who he knocked up in the first place. So it's the least he can do to thank them for the spotlight anyways. He'd be a nobody making minimum wage if it wasn't for them.
I don't think she's greedy and $1750 per month is completely reasonable. It's not just about the direct costs to raise a child like diapers, food, etc. Raising a child is a full time job and it affects her ability to go out and get an income-generating job without incurring childcare expenses. $1750 a month is an annual income of only about $20,000 - which is peanuts. Not sure why so many of you want to let the father off the hook with so little.
It appears Levi is doing all the talking but has nothing to back him up. Everyone is quick to judge but he's the only one spouting off his mouth and everyone thinks he's telling the truth? LOL OKay...gullible!
Really? $1,750 a month? Does the child require special care? That's way more than anyone gets for one child! All parties in this custody ordeal have their heads up their butts! I'm so sick of hearing about these people.
Now Bristil you get out and work...didn't you have something to do with making the baby.
That is a ridiculous amount for a grown man with a decent job to pay for one child let alone a 19 year old with no job to speak of. Talk about greed. They are just mad he is telling all their dirty little secrets. Let Bristol get a job and, while yes, he should pay something she also needs to let him see his son. That's messed up she tries to keep him away from his Daddy.
A child is not the responsibility of the grandparents. Who a child's grandparents are is irrelevant to the situation. Levi needs to step up and be responsible. He needs to support his son and be a man. Child support should be commiserate with HIS income, not the income of those of you who perhaps do not make as much as he. Your political views should not color the facts. If Levi is a father he needs to support his son. Period.
Once Bristol & Levi goes to court, Bristol & Sarah will not be able to keep Levi from having his time with Tripp. Like they have in the past. Otherwise, Bristol will be in breaking the Law. We all know that Mama Sarah has been calling the shots when it comes to father & son time. Bristol will have to show Levi being a unfit parent in court to get full custody of their son. Unless Sarah is planning something big. By the way, where is grandpa in all the crap. Sarah husband seems to be staying out of all the mudthrowing that has been going on in the family issue. Todd needs to tell Sarah to back off and let Bristol & Levi raise their child, and not get into the relationship that needs to happen for their grandchild. Plus with a new job, she should very busy bashing our President & Demo. But, we all know that Sarah won't be at this job very long becuz she is a quitter & has a big head about herself. Maybe she needs to think about her other children at home that needs her more then we do..
She is so full of it. first she states the he aint gonna gave sex untilshe is marry then she wants alomst 2,000 worth of child support. this is crazy then just need to go out and get a really jon like every other single moms.
I'm a child of divorce. One who's mother had to struggle to raise her kids, one who's dad barely paid any child support. BUT I don't think that it's fair that a man should have to pay more in support for a child than it takes to actually raise that child. Support is supposed to be for necessities, not for kid's to live the high life just because their father (or mother) might be. If they feel like their child should live in a manner similar to themselves (if their living the high life), than that should be their prerogative. They shouldn't be obliged to pay more than what is a reasonable amount to raise a child. A baby DOES NOT cost $1750 a month to raise, no where near that. My mom made about that much and supported 5 of us, and in Miami where the cost of living is ridiculous. She's being greedy. He should support his son, but what he's been giving her in support, is enough. He's not obligated to pay for the entirety of the child's care. As long as she's not being lazy and contributing to his care as well, $400 a month is more than enough for one baby. Especially considering the fact that her expenses are likely next to nil. Benefit to living with mommy and daddy.
I am so sick of hearing about the Palins I could scream. I barely make 1750 a month. No baby needs 1750 a month support. Sarah, go get a job like the rest of us and ask for a REASONABLE support.
If you think you are so Hot Levi, show you are also a Hot Daddy, and pay up. You are actually a dirty piece of s/// but people will see that soon enough. Your running with the wrong crowd and soon will be disposed of and then what.
I really hope you get it after all the insults and crappy comments he makes about you and your family on talk shows such as JOYless Behinds, and others. He is escorting people life Kathy Griffin to red carpet events and I am sure they are "paying" him well. And also paying him to badmouth Sarah for their "liberal agenda" He is getting paid well to be "used" like is being. So he should pay you a good amount every month. It is his baby too, so why should you have to be the sole supporter of the baby????
