-- What would Sarah Palin think? Her daughter Bristol -- who is currently competing on Dancing With the Stars -- admitted that she forgot to vote in Tuesday's midterm elections. "I did not send in my absentee ballots to Alaska," Bristol, 20, said. "I'm going to be in trouble. Sorry mom!" [Inside Edition]
-- Rihanna is grieving over the loss of 11-year-old Broadway singer Shannon Tavarez, who battled acute myeloid leukemia. "Just got off of a plane ride and got horrible news that our little star Shannon has lost her battle against leukemia," Rihanna, 21, tweeted Wednesday. "Way too soon...keep her family in your prayers." [Just Jared]
-- Jake Gyllenhaal wasn't fazed by his love scenes with Anne Hathaway in Love & Other Drugs. "Anne and I had already had sex on film [in Brokeback Mountain]," the actor, 29, tells Esquire UK. "There's something about the way Annie and I both work which is inherently very musical. It's all about rhythm. There's a rhythm to writing, there's a rhythm to sports, there’s a rhythm to sex." -- Ricky Martin doesn't miss the days when he was "Livin' la Vida Loca" anymore. "It was time for me to step back. I was giving so much that I was literally drained," the singer, 38, explains of his 1999 heyday as a pop sensation. "Do I want that back? It was beautiful; I felt like the king of the world. I felt very powerful, but everything that I've done, I'm grateful. It's not about what happened 10 years ago, it's where I'm at today." [Huffington Post]
-- It's every traveler's nightmare: While Keira Knightley was promoting Last Night at the Rome Film Festival in Italy, her $1.95 million London home was burglarized. Though the thieves only removed two personal laptops, the 25-year-old actress is reportedly "mortified to think anyone who has been rummaging around her personal stuff. She feels violated and doesn't know if she wants to return to the flat," a source claims. [Wonder Wall]

5@Salley: No one is forcing anyone to vote, but it is extremely lazy of her not to take five seconds to mail in her ballot when she claims to be so invested in making a difference. She tells people to vote for her mother or the ideas she believes in, but doesn't do it herself. Dancing With The Stars does not excuse anyone from hypocrisy.
A lot of women suffered horribly to give US women the right to vote - I agree. But they did not intend that every woman in America be forced to vote. If Bristol votes or doesn't vote is really no one's business but hers. It may be a case that if she isn't going to vote the "right way", she just "stayed home". It's all well for Meghan McCain to speak ill of Ms. Palin for not doing what she, Meghan, does - but isn't Meghan the "heir apparent" to the beer fortune? She has options Ms. Palin doesn't. And I guess the "born again Christians" don't mind beer if you vote "right"?
I have been voting since fall of 1982 (Governor of Alabama and other statewide offices) and have only missed ONE election in that entire time. For the one election that I missed I don't even have the excuse that I was a kid fresh out of high-school, much less involved in something like "Dancing with the Stars", which didn't exist in 1984. (That election in Fall 1982? I was a senior in high-school.)
She's cute!
Who in the hell FORGETS to vote? The ads have run NON STOP! Soooo glad they're gone
